Spenzo 0.5Mg Tablet falls under a category of drugs known as thioxanthenes. This medication is used for treating mental disorders such as schizophrenia. It functions by interfering with the nerve pathways in the brain and rectifies the chemical imbalances that are responsible for the signs of schizophrenia.
On using this medication you may experience side effects such as dry mouth, headache, dizziness, vision problems, shakiness, uncontrollable muscle movements, difficulty in sleeping or urinating, breast enlargement, period problems, decreased libidinal drive, constipation, mood disorders and diarrhoea. If the reactions persist or become worse over time contact your health care provider as soon as possible.
Before you start taking this medication you should notify your doctor if are allergic to any ingredient contained within it, you are allergic to any food or medicine or substance, you have breathing/liver/kidney/thyroid/heart problems, you have epilepsy/diabetes/Parkinson’s disease/glaucoma, you are taking any medications, you are pregnant or are planning to become pregnant or are nursing a baby.
The dosage for this medication should be prescribed by the doctor based on your medical history and current condition. The usual starting dose in adults is 1 mg 3 times per day. This may later be increased to 3-6 mg.
