About Roliflo Od-2 Capsule Er

Roliflo capsule is composed of Tamsulosin and Tolterodine. It is an alpha blocker that helps to ease out the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) which includes difficulty in urination, increased need to urinate at odd times, and a weak stream.

Inform your doctor about what medicines you are taking as it may lead to adverse reactions with similar medicines such as prazosin, silodosin, etc. this medication should not be consumed if you are allergic to any of its component. Let your doctor know if you have liver or kidney disease, if you suffer from low blood pressure or have a history of prostate cancer.

    How does this medication work?

    This medication is composed of Tamsulosin and Tolterodine. Tamsulosin is an antagonist to alpha-1A as well as alpha-1B-adrenoceptors within prostatic urethra, bladder neck, prostate and prostatic capsule. Alpha1-adrenoceptors subtypes such as alpha-1A, alpha-1B and alpha-1D. Tolterodine is an active metabolite of Tolterodine itself acts as antagonist to muscarinic receptors. This competitive antagonism leads to the inhibition when it comes to contraction of the bladder thus causing a decrease in the detrusor pressure.
