About Rabium Plus 20Mg/150Mg Capsule

Rabium plus capsule is a proton inhibitor drug that is used in treatment of digestive conditions like acid reflux, heartburn, stomach ulcers, Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, gastroesophageal reflux disease and ulcers caused by a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori.

It is important to consult your doctor before taking this medicine, if you suffer from conditions like lupus, liver diseases, allergies and blood disorders. Because, taking drug can increase the risk of side effects, for those who have any of these conditions. The doctor might then recommend that you avoid taking this medication and prescribe a substitute.     How does this medication work?

    This drug is composed of Rabeprazole and Itopride. Rabeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor drug and binds to H+/K+-exchanging ATPase in gastric parietal cells, resulting in blockage of acid secretion. Itopride is a primary chemical regulating involuntary muscle movement in the stomach. This medicine acts by inhibiting dopamine D2 receptors and enzymes that break down acetylcholine.
