Qutipin 25 MG Tablet Side Effect

I am advised to take fluanxol 0.5 mg / spenzo 0.5 mg 1-0-1, along with qutipin 100 mg 1-0-1. I am also on venlor xr 75 mg 1-0-1 for depression and clonotril 0.25 mg 1-1-2 for anxiety. My question is :- a) is fluanxol 0.5 mg / spenzo 0.5 mg banned? B) if not, can I take it with other medications? Please confirm.

I understand your concerns about medication safety, especially when taking multiple medications. Here's some general information about the medications you mentioned: Fluanxol (Flupentixol): This is an antipsychotic medication often used for schizophrenia or other similar conditions. It can also be used in lower doses for depression. Spenzo (Etizolam): This is a medication that is used for anxiety. It belongs to a class of drugs similar to benzodiazepines and has sedative and muscle-relaxant effects. Qutipin (Quetiapine): This is an antipsychotic medication often used to treat bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, and as an add-on treatment for depression. Venlor XR (Venlafaxine): This is an antidepressant that belongs to the class of serotonin-norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs). Clonotril (Clonazepam): This is a benzodiazepine used for anxiety and seizure disorders. Regarding your specific questions: a) Banned Status: The status of medications can vary by country and region. Fluanxol and Spenzo are not universally banned but may have restrictions in certain regions. It's important to check the regulations and guidelines in your specific location. b) Combining Medications: Taking multiple medications can increase the risk of side effects and drug interactions. It is essential to follow the advice of a healthcare professional who is familiar with your medical history and the specific medications you are taking. They can provide guidance on whether these medications can be taken together, appropriate dosages, and monitoring for side effects or interactions. Remember, it's crucial to consult with your healthcare provider before starting, stopping, or changing any medication regimen, especially when dealing with complex treatments involving multiple drugs. They can give you the most accurate and personalized advice based on your health needs and current medical condition.

As per research, a depressive episode should show improvement by minimum 9 months, provided it is treated adequately. And that is the recommended duration for taking medicines, when the patient is having depression for the first time. Regarding tapering of doses, it will be done gradually as per the patient's symptoms over a year. Please do not discontinue any psychiatric medicines suddenly or without supervision and always discuss openly with your psychiatrist in case of any side effects. It helps us in adjusting your doses accordingly.

Recovery from a psychiatric illness varies. It may take 2-8 weeks to achieve a significant amount of improvement in symptoms. To see the effects of a particular antidepressant, atleast 2-4 weeks may be required. In this particular case, the doses may be increased further to look for improvement. If there is no improvement even after that, then there would a need to change the antidepressant or try another treatment modality.

You have got these attacks at the adolescent stage which is indicative of a childhood problem with fear. It is best for you to seek the help of a counselor along with your medication and develop some skills and tools to deal with this fear. You must immediately seek help from a counselor. Your fear is creating an obsession and that will gradually lead to anxiety and compulsive behaviors. Before it gets out of control and difficult to deal with seek help earlier, especially about this fear. If the fear is of recent origin, you could perhaps identify it and deal with it. But I suspect it is from the long past, then much work has to be done to sort that out. Sometimes this kind of nervousness could be genetic too. In the meantime you must do certain things to build your constitution physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Mental stability can be achieved by learning a few skills in handling emotions in an appropriate manner. Stress management skills, which have a lot to do with expressing emotions, will need to be a major part of your recovery program. Emotionally you need the help of a counselor and that will help you tremendously to move from anxiety to normal fear. Please persevere and cooperate through all the support you need and you will come through successfully. Develop your body’s health by physical fitness through exercise, good rest (sleep), and a proper diet. Any way what you need to focus on is to do vigorous exercise of the aerobic kind for the heart’s fitness; meditation for the brain’s fitness; sleep for a well rested mind and body; a sound spiritual well being for good confidence and stability; and a diet with lots of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Vigorous exercise, especially of the callisthenic kind, will make your heart, which is a muscle, grow larger; and then your heart will need to beat less often and you will respond to the anxiety with a calmer disposition. If your mind, constitution, and your emotions are in check and fit, you will never be disturbed again.

When some treatment does not work, let your doctor know that it is not working. Ideally, she should be evaluated by a psychiatrist who can prescribe medicines for her aggressive behavior. This kind of behaviors are commonly seen in some types of dementia. She could also be prescribed medicines to slow down the progression of dementia. Visit your doctor at the earliest or consult a psychiatrist if you haven't.

Sir, I am using qutipin 25 daily and do I have to avoid this tablet if I want use admenta 5.
Admenta (memantine) is a cognitive enhancer usually used in dementia which mostly affects the elderly. To understand one's own mental health problems and how to treat them - the only effective way is to discuss all the questions and doubts with the treating psychiatrist. At an age of 38, I doubt the utility of admenta. Please consult your psychiatrist and confirm your diagnosis and the most significant symptoms that need to be treated.
