If baby is growing weight as per the standards, breastfeeding is sufficient. Let the paediatrician judge that. And for increasing breastmilk, take a healthy diet, good amount of water, and good sleep. If still supply doesn’t increase you should consult gynaecologist for medical advice.
Hi lybrate-user.
-start taking lactare capsules 3 times a day for 1 more week
- breast feed very frequently like every 2 hours, if you stop feeding for long intervals milk secretion will reduce. - each time feed with only one breast like left breast if you feed once after 2 hours feed with only right one. Don't feed both the breasts in the same hour.
- don't forget to take multivitamins and calcium every day till you stop your breast feeds.
- hydrate well 3-4 litres every day
- eat garlic, if you eat garlic baby suck the breast well as they like the taste of garlic secreted through your milk. The more baby sucks the breast the more milk will be secreted. It a cycle. So eat healthy food and hydrate well.
Hello Lybrate user. Your child is normal, it is very common in this age group. You can add yamoo drop (lactase enzyme) 5 drops before giving milk for 10 days, this will help your child and do burping after each feed.
