Nucoxia Mr Tablet used for

My father aged 79 has low back pain, pain in the hip and thighs. We had some house repair work and he was climbing stairs for a week frequently and pain started. We met nearby doctor and he had given injection and nucoxia Mr. tablet but pain has not reduced. E are worried if it is only normal back pain or could be some other ortho problem.

Hi, your father needs to be examined by a orthopaedic surgeon. Based on the history ,there are two possibilities. 1.pain aggrevating due to stress on the aging back bones and discs. 2. Osteoporosis. Weak bone in the back. Sometimes causing compression due stress and resulting in pain. I would suggest you to first get an x-ray of dorso lumbar spine (ap and lateral views) and proceed. Regards.

Thank you for contacting us. One of the back pain medicine you have mentioned is a pain killer with muscle relaxant, the other is a neuropathic pain medicine. Pain killer medicines preferably are to be used for a short duration only as they can have numerous side effects like gastritis, acidity etc. Some additional tests may be required to be done to diagnose the exact cause of your back pain. You may contact for a further detailed discussion.

Dear Lybrate user, the low back pain present since past 4 months can be due to muscle spasm or a disc related pathology. The medication you have mentioned is a combination of pain killer and muscle relaxant meant for muscle spasm. If giving inadequate relief, then a proper evaluation needs to be done based on your signs and symptoms such as whether the pain is also felt in legs, pain more on walking or sitting etc. Some further xrays and blood tests may also be required for proper evaluation. Please feel free to get in touch for further discussion.

Sir both the drugs you are talking about have different indications. Urimax has been prescribed to you for you urinary problems and nucoxia is a pain killer medicine. However nucoxia and other similar pain killers are advised not to be taken for a longer periods, specially considering your age. They can have numerous side effects including stomach ulcers, kidney and heart problems you can get in touch with a detailed history for further advise.

First of all. Come to a diagnosis. Whether the back pain is due to spondylosis. Or it may be due to bph which is diagnosed by some clinical and simple investigations. Accordingly it can be treated. How is your urine flow sir.

Today morning I got unbearable pain in lower back with spasms when I got up after breakfast. Without any reason. I exercise daily, so my body is not stiff. I think its because of some food mixup at dinner last night, chilly potato, mango milk ice cream and 2 drinks of whisky. I took 1 nucoxia 60 in morning at 10 am and 1 nucoxia 90 now at 6 pm. Not much relief. Also have a feeling that burps are stuck. Though trued passing stool several times but not much and not much relief. Pls advise. Thanks in anticipation.

Respected sir, I am 32 years old and was fit and fine till first week of march. I use to go to gym for last 3 years .on march three I started having bilateral pain in lower back while doing some exercises. X ray was done -dr said it reveals spasm in muscles. Prophylactically I did a mri limbo sacral spine on 3t machine. Only finding was loss of lumbar lordosis. I was advised muscle relaxant nucoxia Mr. twice for 14 days and ultracet twice daily with heat application. Then started corona period and my pain was not relieved at all. From mid of april. Pain changed in nature and I use to feel as if some one trying to pull my tail bone from inside along with it I use to feel as if my anal sphincter is tightly contracting. Some how went to Dr. mri sacro iliac joint .mri hip. Mri pelvis was done. All normal. But pain was so severe that I have to take nucoxia Mr. + ultracet+ pregabalin (even after that can feel pain. On 5 th may the doctor gave me 1 ml triamcilonone injection at coccyx area. Pain responded to it and completely vanished from end of tail bone and most other accompanying areas like muscles near by .spasm in anal area also gone. But even after local steroid injection. Pain of same intensity is there still at about a small part of causes 1.5 cm above it's end and is tender to touch. I visited a second specialist at forties hospital mohali and he said it will take time to go. Ask me to take diclo+ serratia twice for 10 days with ultracet sos. Use cushion .soft bed and sits bath 4 times a day for 1 month. He said it's the only treatment and I won't suggest any further steroid shot. While my specialist at small town said that he would repeat steroid shot after 21 days if pain persists. The doctor at forte said pain in coccyx would take time. What to do sir who is wrong and who is right? Doctor at forte who is treating me conservatively (i think he can't understand how much pain I feel). My local orthopaedic- who gave me steroid shot 5 days back and said he would repeat it after 21 days? 2) do coccygeal injury really takes so long? I feel pain even after taking diclo + seratio. Do have to take ultracet. 3) if coccyx is so tender to touch then why mri at a good hospital like forte reflected nothing? 4) whom to follow Dr. at forte (suggested me to use coccyx cushions every time. Maximum rest and sits bath 4 times for 1 month) or should I follow second Dr. and get a steroid shot after 2 weeks? I can feel pain in coccyx bone even while defecating. Any other test suggested?

Respected sir,
I am 32 years old and was fit and fine till first week of march. I use to go to gym for last 3 years ....
The lower end of the vertebral column is inflamed and that bone is called coccyx bone and the condition is called coccydynia. The conservative management would be to keep ice in that inflamed area during one time in a day and also to sit in a hot water bowl where the penetration of the heat would help to reduce the inflammation. And to reduce the weight falling on the inflammed surface we suggest patients to use air cushion pillow (also called as doughnut pillow) where in the buttock's weight will not fall exactly on the painful tail bone and that would automatically reduce the pain.

Good morning As she is 56 , pretty much suffering from osteoarthritis. Better to have x-rays done for both the knees in standing which will prove the diagnosis. They are few options to try conservative of treatment to postpone any surgical intervention mainly involve physio exercises. Few doctors will give a steroid injections , to be done by orthopaedic surgeons. Last option for this pain is knee replacement surgery which you can plan may be in 1-2 years down the line if pains still persistent. (In the meantime you can tune about replacement surgery in the future)
