I have anxiety and for lockdown my anxiety increased so much that I couldn't sleep and I even got indigestion and lost weight. Though I can manage food doctor prescribed me lonazep 0.25 mg for the lack of my sleep. I know it's an anxiety relieve tablet. As I am 18 years old he gave me this drug only for 5 days. It's my fourth day. But even after taking this tablet I am getting anxious sometime and couldn't sleep very well. Even after taking this medicine I couldn't sleep this fact makes me more anxious. I don't want to take anti anxiety pills in this age. Can you give me some suggestions how to get my normal sleep back naturally?

Dear lybrate-user, please learn jacobson's deep muscle relaxation and undergo therapy with a clinical psychologist. If you can manage your anxiety, you can sleep better. There are sleep hygiene methods to make you sleep. That also will be added to cognitive behaviour therapy for sleep disorder. It is a good idea that you decided not to take lonazep for long term.

Dear lybrate-user, certain types of depression like recurrent or bipolar, need long term mood stabiliser like dicorate. It should not be stopped. Things are under control only because your mood is stable these days with dicorate. Please discuss with your psychiatrist about your diagnosis and also the bad effects of stopping. However you can reduce and stop lonazep since it is not for long term use.

Hi, I have been taking dicorate er 500 & lonazep 1 mg from past 7 years. Due to heavy work pressure, I suffered mild seizure, so my doctor advised me to increase dicorate to 750 mg and lonazep 1 mg. Since I already have the stock of dicorate er 500 mg for next 8 months, is it ok if I consume 1â½ tablet of dicorate er 500 daily? And does these tables cause hair fall?

Dear User, you could do that or there are dicorate er 250 mg tablets also available. Using that would be a better option. You can start off with using 1 and a half tablets initially then if you seem to still have a seizure, then i would suggest you to get the 250mg tabs. And yes, dicorate causes hairfall. It is one of the side effects. If you found my answer helpful, please leave a Positive feedback as it helps me with my Practice. Thank you.

Hello sir, problems- aggressiveness, short tempered, no calmness, very emotionalistic, taking to much stress in little things. I even have just a few symptoms of compulsive repetitive disorder (like I have kept my phone in the bag but im checking twice whether its there or not. And this doesn't happen all the time but yes I do have symptoms). Even if I talk maturely I still behave immaturely in certain topics (when in dispute with mom or when I am angry on something) and im taking meds prescribed by my doctor.in my first visit my doctor gave me - 1) nervon forte 2) pari cr 12.5 3) clonil 10 4) librax (because my stomach wasn't good. I took that for 1 month, then stopped) then I explained her my 2 month situation (in the 1st month I was feeling better but after that I was again like that ,meaning - low confidence ,stress, anger, mood swings, negativity mind, stomach issue etc .so she changed my meds - 1) nervon forte 2) pari cr plus 12.5 3) sizodon mt 0.5 4) librax (sos). All at night once a day. Then I continued it for 1 month and now I told her that the meds weren't suiting me well because im seeing no difference, she changed ny meds - 1) nervon forte - once at night 2) take sizodon / risdone 1 mg.- once at night 3) lonazep 0.5 mg - once at night this I have just started to take it from 5 days and my head is spinning im not well at all. Now I do not know my head is spinning and paining because of sinus or the medicines. My doctor has now told me to stop nervon forte and continue the other two. Please help me out. Is the medicines correct?

Your doctor has been reviewing your medications on the basis of the symptoms you are experiencing every time. But my concern is that you have not been seeking the help of a counselor to explore the psychological and emotional angle to recover from your condition. You are being treated for a fairly serious disorder and need combination therapy to substantiate the medical approach. I can see that although you mention a lot about your anger, there is what seems to be a huge problem with fear. I believe that this fear and anger probably comes from some childhood experiences and has not been adequately dealt with. So some emotional therapy and a good regimen of exercises, sleep, diet, stress management, and love in your life will make a big difference to your rehabilitation.

All psychotropic drugs have side effects. If you focused instead on doing some therapy, you could well come out of the medication with little withdrawal symptoms. You must immediately seek help from a counselor. Your fear is creating an obsession and that will gradually lead to anxiety and compulsive behaviors. If the fear is of recent origin, you could perhaps identify it and deal with it. But if it is from the long past, then much work has to be done to sort that out. Sometimes this kind of nervousness could be genetic too. In the meantime you must do certain things to build your constitution physically, spiritually, emotionally, and mentally. Mental stability can be achieved by learning a few skills in handling emotions in an appropriate manner. Stress management skills, which have a lot to do with expressing emotions, will need to be a major part of your recovery program. Emotionally you need the help of a counselor and that will help you tremendously to move from anxiety to normal fear. Please persevere and cooperate through all the support you need and you will come through successfully. Develop your body’s health by physical fitness through exercise, good rest (sleep), and a proper diet. Any way what you need to focus on is to do vigorous exercise of the aerobic kind for the heart’s fitness; meditation for the brain’s fitness; sleep for a well rested mind and body; a sound spiritual well being for good confidence and stability; and a diet with lots of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Vigorous exercise, especially of the callisthenic kind, will make your heart, which is a muscle, grow larger; and then your heart will need to beat less often and you will respond to the anxiety with a calmer disposition. If your mind, constitution, and your emotions are in check and fit, you will never be disturbed again.
