Maximune 500Mg Tablet

Maximune 500Mg Tablet is used to treat HIV-1 infection in adults and in children over 16 years of age. It is an anti-retroviral agent, and is often used in combination with ritonavir. The mode of administration of this medicine is oral, and it is available in the form of gel capsules. However, for patients who may be unable to swallow the capsules for reasons, you may follow the doctor’s instructions and make a suspension, to be given orally to the patient. This drug, along with ritonavir, must be taken within 2 hours after having a meal.

The recommended dosage of this medicine is 1000 mg per day, taken twice daily, along with 100 mg of ritonavir (per day), also taken twice daily. If you are already taking the recommended dosage of ritonavir otherwise, as part of your therapy, then you are not required to take it separately along with Maximune 500Mg Tablet. The use of cobicistat along with Maximune 500Mg Tablet is not recommended.

In case of overdose, you are recommended to discontinue the therapy until the toxicity resolves itself. Once the symptoms of overdose pass, you may resume taking the full dose again. Prolongation of PR and QT intervals are the side effects of Maximune 500Mg Tablet.
