About Flomist Nasal Spray

This medication is used to treat seasonal non-allergic and allergic nasal symptoms such as a blocked nose, runny nose, itchy nose, or sneezing.

It is advised to follow the instructions on the package before using this nasal spray. If you have been prescribed this medicine by your doctor, do as directed. The usual recommended dose is once or twice a day. You are strongly advised to avoid overdosing on this drug.

    How does this medication work?

    The nasal spray is a synthetic corticosteroid which binds to the glucocorticoid receptor with high affinity. It is also thought to inhibit cytosolic phospholipase A2, which controls the biosynthesis of potent inflammation mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes, thereby reducing inflammation.
