About Flexabenz Gel

Flexabenz Gel is used as a muscle relaxant. It helps in treating musculoskeletal pain, osteoarthritis pain, back pain, delayed onset muscle soreness and muscle strains.

The gel inhibits nerve impulses sent from the brain to the muscles by antagonizing 5HT2 receptors. Hence, it creates a numbing sensation in the muscles that subsides pain. The medication is also used for managing skeletal muscle injury.

The drug is contraindicated in patients who are suffering from overactive thyroid gland, wide-angle glaucoma, irregular heart rhythm, sinus tachycardia, etc.

This gel also interacts with other drugs like isocarboxazid, phenelzine, tranylcypromine, MAO inhibitors, antihistamines, and opioid pain relievers. It is also advised that you should consult a doctor familiar with your health condition and medical history.

One should seek medical aid in case of overdose or manifestation of certain side effects. Additionally, avoid doing any activity that requires considerable attention as driving after taking the drug as it causes drowsiness.
