It is a combination medication which has Codeine and Triprolidine as active ingredients. This syrup is used as an opioid to relieve pain ranging from mild to moderately severe. It is similar to morphine and hydrocodone, acting as a cough suppressant. It binds the receptors in the brain that are responsible for pain in the body. Triprolidine is an antiallergic drug and blocks the action of a chemical messenger (histamine) which may trigger cough due to allergy.
