Clamist 1Mg Tablet is a drug popularly categorized as anti-histamine which is administered in cases of hay fever, cold, cough, runny nose, sneezing etc. The drug has a function of blocking the formation of histamine which the body produces as a reaction to allergy; hence symptoms of watery eyes and nose can be checked. It has some sedative characteristics as well, and has properties of an antipruritic (anti itching).

Being a popular drug in treating allergic rhinitis, Clamist 1Mg Tablet also has lesser side effects than most of similar drugs.

Before starting this medicament a few existing medical conditions, if there, should be brought to the notice of the physician including- pregnancy, consumption of other supplements or medicines, existing allergies, presence of asthma in the patient etc.

Clamist 1Mg Tablet is quite a safe medicine to be used but may show certain side effects when overdosed or administered improperly. Side effects include excitement, hallucination, muscle twitching, hyperthermia, convulsion, tremors, headache, constipation, stomach upset, blurred vision, dry mouth or throat, etc. Some of these which are less serious may show at first but decrease as body adjusts with the medicine. This medicine works by binding to the histamine H1 and preventing endogenous histamines to form a bond with the same. Thus, it acts as an antagonist for these receptors.
