I am 21-year-old female, I have very high pulse rate, mostly above 100, 120 is also normal for me but my metabolism is slow, any healing is slow, no thyroid problem nor diabetic but have pcos. I had to take iron and d3 as vitamin d and hemogram was way below normal. Vitamin d, till I started d3 supplements, was 5.7 and hemoglobin was 6.7 before I took 5 injections and now am taking supplements for the same. Now d3 is 24.35 and 10.9, less but better than before. What is the way forward? Why high pulse but slow metabolism? Thanks.

Hi dear friend. I noted down your history. Here are the few points I would like to add from my side. 1) your pulse rate was/is high because your hb was/is low. 2) now as it is better than before but still you should take some supplements for vitamin b12 as well. 3) consume diet rich in iron like spinach, beetroot, dryfruits, eggs etc. 4) if all the above is corrected and still pulse is high then need to see for other issues like anxiety. Get your thyroid profile, cbc, blood sugar fasting checked from some lab. In the meanwhile follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U should eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say whatever is your traditional food. If punjabi eat paratha, if belongs to south then take idli/ dosa etc. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, any fresh n seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 6. Maintain active life style7. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods, carbonated beverages 8. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 9. Drink lot of water.10. Everyday preferably sleep on same time exercise in the form of yoga, cycling, swimming, gym etc.For more details, you can consult me.

Autoimmune Disorders - How Does Ayurveda Help?
When the immune system of the body reacts against the tissues of its own body, it is called an autoimmune disorder. To put it more dramatically, the body becomes its own enemy. The immune system of your body keeps fighting disease-causing germs and bacteria, but in rare cases, the immune system might malfunction and fight its own body causing different disorders. These disorders may be caused due to genetic issues or due to mutations. According to Ayurveda, autoimmune disorders are a result of constant unhealthy lifestyle and diet. Ayurveda works at the root cause of the disease where it starts treating the malfunctioning immune system.

Here is how ayurveda treats autoimmune disorders:

1. Toxin removal: Ayurveda starts working on removing the toxins from the body. According to ayurveda, toxins or ama in the body interfere with the proper functioning of the immune system, which often leads to autoimmune diseases. Usually shunthi, haritaki, pippali, maricha, hingu and saindhav lavan are used to detoxify the body.

2. Metabolism correction: Not only will ayurveda detoxify the body, but it will also correct the metabolism which gets messed up when afflicted with an autoimmune disorder. Neem, guggulu, guduchi, vasa, patola patra and ghrita are used to correct the metabolism.
3. Increase in ojus production: Ojus is the component which helps in the nourishment of the immune system. It is generally received from the food you eat. Due to the dysfunctional immune system causing impairment of metabolism, production of ojas decreases to almost nil. Hence ayurveda increases its production. Guduchi, haridra, manjishtha, amalaki, nirgundi, yashtimadhu and pippali are used to increase ojha production.

4. Immune system correction: Lastly, ayurveda works at correcting the immune system. If the immune system is not corrected, then the above treatment procedure will just be useless. Ghrita, haritaki, bahera, amalaki, ela and dadim are used generally to calm the immune system and rejuvenate it. They help correct the immune system for normal functioning.

Autoimmune disorders may not be easily treated, but that doesn't mean you cannot expect it to cure or witness a miracle. You just need some faith and confidence alongside proper treatment and you are ready to roll.

Take small meals at frequent interval, you can drink lots of water, increase physical activity in your schedule and have roughage in your diet. Drink green tea. Have a very good night sleep.

First of all, I would like to tell you about Ayurveda. Ayurveda is the science of life and the world s oldest holistic approach towards health. It emphasizes good health, prevention and treatment of chronic illness through lifestyle processes. Svasthsya swatha ayushya rakshanm, atursya vikar prshanamch matlab swasth vyakti ke swathya ki raksha karna aur rogi ke vikaro ka upchar karna, ye iska pramukh udeshya kaha jata hai. Now we would like to talk about viruddha ahara, jo padarth dhatuo ke virudh guddhng wale, dosho ko praturpit karne wale hote hai unke sewan ko virudh ahar kaha jata hai. Jinke sewan se hume kisi bhi tarike ka koi bhi rog ho sakta hai usko hum virudh ahar kahte hai jaise agar hum dudh ke sath mood, chana aadi dalo ka agar upyog karte hai ya fir aalu, mooli jaisi sabjiyo ka agar hum dudh ke sath upyog karte hai ya machli lete hai dudh ke sath toh ye virudh ahar hai. Ya dudh ke sath hum namak ya khatti cheejo ka upyog karte hai toh ye bhi virudh ahar kaha gaya hai. Dahi ke sath mein udad, gud, kali mirch ya kela ka agar hum upyog karte hai toh ye bhi virudh ahar hai. Ghee, tel, shahad ya pani, inko agar hum sam bhag mein, inme se do chejo ko agar hum sambhag mein upyog karte hai toh ye humare shareer pe bahut hi haanikark prabhav daalte hai, inko agar hum shahad aur ghee isko alag alag agar hum upyog kar lete hai toh jaise shahad aadha aur ghee uss se double, toh kaafi rogo mein iska upchar kiya jata hai. Aur, jaise garam aur thande ka hum ek sath mein upyog karte hai jaise cold drink ke sath mein chai ka agar hum use kar rahe hai toh ye bhi nirvirudh kaha gaya hai isko ayurved mein. Dahi aur shahad ko garam karna sanskar virudh hai, koi bhi agar aisi thandi cheej ko hum agar garam karke use karte hai toh vo sanskar virudh hai. Aur koi bhi humara jo bhojan hai, adha kachcha hai vo bhi nahi khana chaiye, jyada paka hua hai vo bhi galat hai, aur agar hum usko high temperature pe garam kar rahe hai jaise junk food jitne bhi hote hai hum unko microwave mein garam karte hai toh vo bhi bahut galat hai shareer ke liye ya fir hum fridge mein rakh kar usko use karte hai toh vo bhi humare shareer pe bahut hi hanikarak prabhav dalta hai aur vo bhi virudh ahar mein laya jata hai. Iss prakar ke virudh ahar ke sewan se bal, budhi, veerya, ayu ka nash aur shareer mein vibhinn rog jaise napunsakta, andhatva ya fir jo panch humari gyanendriya hai, unme vikruti, ya fir sunai kam dena ya saans lene ki pareshani, ya safed daag, jo ki safed daag ka mukhya kaaran hi virudh ahar hai. Dudh ke sath hum agar machali ka sewan karte hai toh vo mukhya karan hai safed daag ka. Aur ashtobhagm, jo aath prakar ki asadhya ayurved mein batayi gayi hai unka sabka karan virudh ahar hi hai.aur peit ke jitne bhi rog hai, amlpit hai, bhagandar hai, kust rog hai, inn sabka karan virudh ahar kaha gaya hai. Atah, patya-apatya ka vivekar, humasha patyakar aharo ka hi upyog karna chaiye, apatyakar ahar ka hume upyog nahi karna chaiye. Aur agar hum agyanwash kisi bhi bhul se maan lo apni koi bhi virudh ahar ka sewan kar lete hai aur uss se hume koi bhi beemari utpan ho jati hai toh hume vaman vivevhan adikar se apne shareer ka upchar karna chaiye aur kisi achche vaidya se paramarsh lekar apne shareer ke rogo ka upchar karana chaiye.
