Since your random is within normal limits, it does not indicate diabetes. Read more about diabetes and it's signs and symptoms and its investigation from the internet to understand it in a better manner. Go for annual health check up and visit the doctor whenever you have any complaints.

Your random blood sugar is very high. Do a proper fasting and post prandial blood sugar, hba1c in a good laboratory and consult me for further advice.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. I remeber to have answered this query yesterday or may be earlier today. Once diagnosed diabetes rarely goes away. I have not seeneven a single case so far. However, if you want to know whether diabetes is present or not, please get anoral Glucose Tolerance Test in a near by laboratory. Check your fasting, then (after at least 8 to 10 hours of night meal), then take 75 g of glucose, then bloood is drawn at 1 hour and 2 hours. The glucose reading then will give a clear indication whether you have diabetes or not. Otherwise after stopping all the medication for about 10 plus days, do a fasting & PP test as well as get HbA1c%. Then based on the result decision can be made.

Your reports are in the pre diabetic range. I sugget you first get a test done called as Hba1c to decide on the furthur course. Mostly, regular physical exercise and dietary modifications will help in preventing conversion from prediabetes to diabetes.

Hye, Thanks for the query. For a diabetic it is best advised to have a diet planned as per the sugar levels, lifestyle and history. Though you can follow some guidelines - The sugar levels will fluctuate depending on what you ate or did not eat, stress levels and activity levels. You have to try and manage a balanced carb intake. Have small frequent meals. Do not fast for long hours. You have to eat 3 main and 3 mid meals. Your diet must include whole grains, seasonal fruits, vegetables, small amounts of nuts and dairy and pulses or dals or lean meats like chicken or fish and egg. Starchy vegetables need to be planned into the diet. Avoid a very heavy meal at one time. Avoid fruit juices, aerated drinks or sugarcane juice, honey, jaggery or sugar. Avoid junk foods. Exercise and stay active. Avoid exercise if sugar levels are above 250mg/dl. Do not attempt to try out too many remedies as you could go into hypoglycaemia. Sleep well.            It's all a matter of discipline.

Mr. lybrate-user, When blood glucose is checked either fasting, after food or random, it only reflects that day's glucose level. One can not guarantee that same levels will be maintained every day, because our eating is different every day. The day you eat more, it will go up. If you take more sweets level will shoot up. To maintain well controlled levels, one has to have a restricted and planned diet, exercise regularly and maintain normal weight. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for your query on Lybrate "As" per your clinical history is concerned it is normal if it is random blood sugar. So if you have any doubt then do one fasting blood sugar with PP. Fasting result should be 70-110 mg/dl and PP result should be <140 mg/dl. Fasting should be 12 hours means if you take dinner at 9 PM then give your blood at 9 AM in the morning for better results.[Thanks]

Hi drink some bitter gourd juice on an empty stomach each morning. First remove the seeds of two to three bitter gourds and use a juicer to extract the juice. Add some water and then drink it. Follow this treatment daily in the morning for at least two months. Take pranacharya diabeto and shilajeet capsule twice a day with water. Take vasant kusumakar ras twice a day. Avoid sweets. Take small meals in less time interval. Do pranayama early morning. Avoid alcohol consumption.
