I tested at 120 days post exposure. With RNA PCR test Quantitative -target not detected. Also at 100 and 120 days post exposure With CMIA fourth generation test - non reactive. My questions are- Qualitative tells yes and no and quantitative tells amount. Then which test is better Hiv RNA Qualitative or Hiv RNA Quantitative. 2- is there any difference in their testing accuracy. 3- While going through test information of Hiv RNA it is mentioned on various. Sites that RNA Quantitative is to monitor hiv progression and hiv RNA Qualitative for diagnosis is it true that hiv RNA can't diagnose acute hiv infection. Please give honest opinion.

You are negative for HIV. There is no difference in testing accuracy. HIV RNA appears in the blood after some time. You relax and carry on with life, as you are negative and don't feel perturbed by unnecessary and baseless thoughts. Best wishes.

Hello sir, I had exposure before six months ago a gay sucked my penis who was hiv positive and I took rapid test after 70 days of exposure that was negative and then I took DUO VIRAL LOAD AND WESTERN BLOT DUO was 0.11 after 84 days of exposure VIRAL LOAD <71.6 in interpretation they it is not detected or bellow the range of assay Hiv proteins. Cd4 count 184 they also said that repeat this test with doctor consult After four months RAPID TEST was also negative After five and half months again rapid test was negative I TOOK ANOTHER TEST hepatitis b hepatitis c vdrl test after four months this exposure they all were negative NOW I HAD SECOND EXPOSURE BEFORE 7 weeks ago I was talking to hiv positive man while talking his little drop of saliva entered in my mouth I didn't see that drop but I felt something touched to my tongue and I didn't not spit I asked from many counselors they said this was not a exposure I worrying about that when saliva entered on that day I had sore throats in my neck and I didn't spit if infected saliva touched my throats Is transmission possible? Or is it exposure or not? Next time you have fever before taking any medication get your blood checked for CBC only and till than increase your immunity by taking Tablet folvite 5mg once a day for six months and tablet vitamin D3 60000iu once a week for six months

NO. Quantitative test has not any value in diagonosis. IT s use of Monitoring You have to go for HIV 1 Proviral DNA qualitative test.
