Giardia lamblia is a parasite that causes an infection in the small intestine known as Giardiasis. Consumption of contaminated food or water or a direct contact with an infected person causes this infection. Fatigue, nausea, diarrhea, loss of appetite, bloating, headaches, abdominal pain and weight loss are some common symptoms associated with this condition. It can resolve within 2-4 weeks on its own without any treatment.
