It is safe to take it... Rust is not the only reason.. Infections with clotridium tetany Bacteria is the cause..

Normal cut by used needle injection was given to dog after that throwing normally cut by needle. What precaution or medicine be taken.

Dear, there is no such normal or abnormal cut. For virus to be attacked, only a simple small-minute prick of needle can cause whole disease in a person. Please get checked yourself by someone physician whom you are consulting regularly.

What should I do if I injured myself with a used needle and What infections can used needles or sharps pass on?

It may cause HIV and many infections...like tetanus etc...and if you have injured then you should go for a HIV test

Today I went to a hospital to give a blood sample for a my general blood test for taking blood from my veins they use vacutainer method first they took needle and inserted the needle to a vacutainer plastic holder and then they inserted a container inside the vacatainer holder after taking the blood test they disposed the needle from the vacutainer holder but they did not dispose the vacutainer plastic holder which is started to the needle and the container I asked the represent person she said it is ok to reuse the vacutainer holder and they will reuse it for 10 patients so my fear/doubt is whether I am at the risk of transmitting hiv by this incident? Because the holder which is connecting the needle and the container is getting reused. I referred many website still confused since the incident I was very much stressed please any one give an explanation and answer to the risk of hiv transmission through this method. Please help me out thanks.

Dear lybrate-user there is no contact between the drawing syringe apparatus and disposable needle. The other end of the needle has a rubber sheath that prevents any blood leaking into the holder. When the technician presses the vacutainer against the rubber sheath, the needle enters the vacutainer and vacuum inside the container sucks the blood inside the vial. Pl don't loose your sleep over silly things.

Good morning sir, I had needle phobia specially on HIV and std problems. While going and coming on roads I always check .yesterday I went to hospital there one incident was happened. My bike key was feldown from my pocket as soon as I was taken it from one slum area which is with all snakes covers and dust. This is near by hospital ward. I have seen that there is a syringe plastic cover no neele in that. I had touched with slum place. I observed that I don't get any prick type. But my phobia regrading needle and also this is hospital. My doubt is that is there any needle in that slum area and without my presence my finger suppose touched with needle. So any risk on this situation. Can I get any std or HIV like hospital places specially touched with some thing in slum area. Does needles are thrown in slum area in hospital. Please help out me. What I suppose to do avoid for this type of fear regarding needles in hospitals. In my situation am I safe? Plsease help out me sir.

Needles are not thrown outside any good hospital. They are properly disposed off. Simply by touching a needle you will not get HIV infection. So don't think too much you are safe. Thanks.
