Urinal problem, my father aged 58yrs. Has damaged urine bladder in abdomen, it is very painful to out his urine through penis without any catheter, he has to use catheter (tube) in penis daily to out fall his urine, mostly in night. I want to know that is there any treatment for urinal bag (bladder) which can store urine as much and discharge properly from penis. Kindly suggest, please please please, please reply.

Dear user, based on the condition of the patient, you can use the tray for direct urination. And if the patient is unconscious you can always use adult diapers. But in case of any tests to be done on the urine, collection has to be done from the catheter which is why a catheter is preferred. My father's age is 85. His prostate has been enlarged in such a way that his urine is not coming out normally through penis. When catheter is placed then urine is coming out. After investigation of urine It was found blood in urine. In the situation what would you suggest-prostate surgery or something else. Please reply urgently.

Blood in urine could be due to injury by catheter.He should continue using catheter for his urine problem.

When the folly catheter was changed, after ~2 hours the urine in drainage bag was somehow reddish then the catheter was removed and sylate 500 was given on a doctor's suggestion. Urine became normal. But next day again urine started getting reddish then trenaxa 500 was given, urine became normal, carried 3 days course but after 1 day again same problem.

According to your age you have a usg and through investigation required. If needed cystoscopy (to view inside your urinary bladder with camera) is needed. Regards.
