Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. Bread whether white or brown is not really good. 2 slices of brown bread would give 19 grams of carbohydrate, total calories will be 88. It may not have sugar or direct glucose, but there is plenty of carb. Plus it is rapidly digested. Protinex (diabetic), also provides 78 calories for 3 tablespoons. So this is not an ideal breakfast. Thanks.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. You can pick up any protein powder that gives no carbs or minimal carbs. Check it by looking at the amount of carbs mentioned per 100 g of the powder. There is one protein preparation of Ranbaxy and also of WinMedicare which give 83 % protein and no carbs. If you can consume eggs, then that is the best option as 1 egg (whole egg), gives about 6.5 to 8 grams protein. Thanks.
