Dear lybrate-user, I am a General Physician and I workout regularly! I would like to show you light on few aspects. 1. Most of the times what you read from Google search is written by some steroid abused illiterate gym trainers. So it's risky that you follow those advice. 2. Now coming to your concern, Growth of muscle depends on several phenomenon other than having whey protein, some duplicate supplement. You do need other factors running inside your body to get those muscles. 3. Your workout pattern depends a lot on yiur growth of muscle. You need to know what is the best suitable workout according to your BMI & Body type 4. Low testosterone: Having low testosterone has few physiological signs and symptoms. There is a test to confirm that. However your delayed muscle growth does not indicate that you have to have low testosterone. 5. There is no written/researched evidence of the fact that "SHILAJIT OR ASHWAGANDHA increases your testosterone level" There are few proven drugs which with proper guidelines have to administered to increase the testosterone level! Take care mate!

Hye. Thankyou for the query. Firstly it is very important to understand that your diet has to be good fist. Just working out does not justify supplementation. Supplementation means adding to the basic. So, if your diet is not well planned then supplementation is of no use because it will just fulfill your basic requirements and not help add more. You are underweight so it's crucial that the additional proteins are not wasted. So, if your diet is good and your workout is intense enough supplementation can be taken. Opt for 100% whey concentrate. Protein supplement may not help in isolation and may have to be combined with a carb source as well which totally depends on your workout. Ideally it is advisable to take supplements within 15 minutes of workout, about a scoop or two. Adding it preworkout or as a late night meal will totally depend on your workout, your requirement and your present food intake.
