Please advice on BGR-34 for diabetes patient. Can allopathic medicines minimised after taking this medicine?
Lybrate-user regards from me. Diabetes is of two types. Insulin dependent and non insulin dependent. Bgr34 is a ayurvedic medicine for non insulin dependent only. If you use it regularly it may lessen your dose of allopathic medicine. You should follow dietary restrictions properly and should do 40 min walk daily. Thanks.

Lybrate-user, Thanks for the query. The glucose levels mentioned are very good, showing excellent control. This is mainly because of Tablet Gliden MF that your are taking. The other tablet whether you take or not, glucose levels will remain within present range. Reason being that particular tablet has no proven clinical benefits. There are absolutely no standard clinical trials done like double blind placebo controlled studies. So the claims are not proven at all. Thanks.

Mr Sushil Kumar, BGR - 34, tablets, is a combination of some herbal extracts, supposed to be working on diabetes mellitus. But the researchers themselves have said that it has not been tried in human beings, there are no clinical trials to show its benefits in controlling blood sugar in humans. According the details available, it has been tried only on rats, there too it has shown 67% efficacy, which is same as placebos. So there is no question of this drug being effective in treating diabetes in humans. Rest I leave it to your judgement.
