Hello , probably your father is suffering from congenital hiatus hernia. If surgery is not required (as told by the endoscopist) medical therapy is sufficient to take of symptoms. But I want to know what is the exact problem that your father is suffering which brought him to the doctor? If it is cough, then he needs a detailed evaluation at his age. Regarding use of pantoprazole or omeprzole or any of these proton pump inhibitors, they are more or less quite similar in actions. So do not worry about the composition of the medicine. Hope this was helpful.

Try changing the brand of metformin. Sometimes some formulation can lead to stomach upset. You don’t seem metformin intolerant, as you were tolerating janumet. You may get relief after changing the brand. Also I will suggest taking a deworming tablet.

Hello lybrate-user. Ultrasound is a very basic test. If it is negative for any abnormal findings it does not mean everything is normal. There are further investigations required. Avoid taking medicines blindly. Lower abdomen pain is not treated with pantoprazole. Either you can consult and take proper guidance and treatment or you can wait.

I have adenomyosis with very painful periods. I have recently started yasmin birth control pills. Tried vagina but there were lot of side effects so stopped it. There is lot of bloating in my stomach, feeling constipated and feel like vomiting when I eat food. Are these symptoms because of adenomyosis or because of yasmin? I am also taking pantocid empty stomach but no relief. Can any medicine stop this indigestion feeling?

I had lower abd pain (colicky and cramps) it was severe and started gradually after passing urine 3 days ago. It took around 45 min to relieve the pain after taking pantosec and walking (it was worsening by sitting). It was radiating to every part of the pelvis and to thighs. After relief, I am feeling constant pressure in pubis symphysis area even while passing urine and stools. This type of pain occurs every 3-4 months with same heaviness afterwards and then full relief after some days. Usg whole abd was normal. What should I do, is there anything to be worried about? Please can you tell me.

Lower abdominal plain can either due to intestinal infection or a pelvic infection. The final diagnosis will depend upon the complete set of symptoms that you are facing. Accordingly the treatment plan can be made. You can have an online consult with me regarding the same.

Is her bp under control. Check for blood sugar also. In the meanwhile follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U should eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say whatever is your traditional food. If punjabi eat paratha, if belongs to south then take idli/ dosa etc. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, any fresh n seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 6. Maintain active life style7. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods, carbonated beverages 8. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 9. Drink lot of water.10. Everyday preferably sleep on same time exercise in the form of yoga, cycling, swimming, gym etc.Till lock down do suryanamaskar every day. for this homeopathy offers good results. Consult online.
