About Candid-B Cream

This medication is used to treat infections of the skin. It also helps in a number of other inflammatory skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. The cream is composed of beclometasone and clotrimazole. The drug blocks the production of prostaglandins that make the skin red, swollen and itchy.

This cream is meant to be applied externally. And must be used in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Before application, the affected area must be washed & cleaned and must be applied with clean and dry hands. If it gets into your mouth or eyes, rinse it with water.

To for efficacy, it must be applied regularly. If the skin condition does not improve or get worse, you should inform your doctor. It might take several days or even weeks for your condition or its symptoms to get improved.

Candid-B should be used with caution in the first trimester of pregnancy, only after considering the benefit-risk ratio associated with it. Even its excretion in human milk is not known. Thus, caution should be exercised while prescribing this cream to nursing mothers.

It should also not be used by those who are allergic to any components present or had any type of infection.
