Bathing Head- Time And Habits
A head bath should always be taken before 10 am or between 3 pm and 5 pm. And never in between to avoid unnecessary damage to our sense organs, for proper sleep, and avoiding water logging of bodily tissues. In due course of time, untimely head bath may be the reason for unexplained headaches, sinusitis and migraine or even allergies. Avoid oiling your hair if head bath doesn't fall within the timing mentioned. Always remember to take the oil in a preheated vessel, so as to remove any moisture in the oil, and apply oil as warm as your body temperature and not use cold oil on your head.
Remember to rub a pinch of rasnadi churnam to the centre of your head on the scalp to avoid cold or running nose and reddening of eyes after bath.
The head is explained as an important marma as per ayurveda and all efforts shud be taken to keep it healthy. And protect it.
