Nasal allergies, or allergic rhinitis, occur when allergens in the air cause uncomfortable symptoms that affect the nasal passages. They can also cause a variety of other symptoms.
Common symptoms of allergic rhinitis include:
- Sneezing
- Sniffling/runny nose
- Nasal congestion
- Cough or sore throat due to congestion dripping into the throat
- Eyes that water or itch
- Reduced sense of smell
- Itchy nose
- Congestion in the ears
