Time perhaps is the most important asset in our life. However rich you may be, you can not buy time. Time once gone never comes back yet we waste a lot of time on a daily basis. We waste so much time thinking about why we are wasting our time. Money doesn't matter, if gone you can earn it again, but time matters. You cannot get your time back once gone. You cannot stop time. The most precious thing on the planet can be termed as time.

So today in this article we are going to share some tips to effectively manage time–

1– Time is an allocation.

What does this mean? Friends, in a day we do a lot of unimportant things which are only urgent, it seems like it needs to be done at that time. Boss called– it's urgent, parents called– it's urgent. Stop whatever you are doing and attend to this first and because of this the more important things are not finished. So now in your day, wherever you spend your time, if you will start allocating it, categorising it, you will get to know how much time you spend on what all.

2– Your every second matters.

You, probably, have everything but not time.Oftenly, you tend to be productive when you actually have a lot to do. So don't get bogged down by a hectic schedule. Rather, a well-planned and smart management of time will help you sail across

3– Delineate between the essential and non-essential tasks.

If your have partner such as a boyfriend or a girlfriend and he/she takes most of your time, then get rid of them because they will not let you succeed in life. If you have a healthy relationship then you can continue. Do that first which is of utmost importance.Remember, too many cooks spoil the broth. If you have so many people to advise, you will always be in trouble. So take advice from a few selected people.

4– Saying 'no' is probably the biggest lesson.

Often, mind-heart conflict takes place.Ensure that you are being rational in any decision you make. For instance, don't make unnecessary commitments to your friends if you don't want to. Say a no if you don't want to attend a family function. Put your foot down on your decision. Don't be emotional in all aspects, rather be practical

5– Devote sincere time to the task at hand. 80/ 20 Pareto principle- 20% of time is sufficient to do a task with 80% success. So, whatever you do, do it properly.

Don't drag a task that can be completed in 1 hour to 3 hours. Rather challenge yourself with the benchmark you have set.

6–  Unimportant details should not bother you.

Rumours and rumour mongers are plenty. There are more people to demotivate you than motivate you. These should literally go above your head, You have to decide what is important and what is not. This will guarantee that your mind doesn't waver when you are doing a task.

7– Work within a time frame.

Draw a to-do list, Push yourself to work within a set time frame. This will reveal your strengths and weaknesses and will help you capitalise on it. Use a carrot and stick approach for betterment.

8– Be prepared for contingency as well.

Unexpected situations, like sickness or important activities are likely to be there. If you look around yourself, many of your companions or relatives might be suffering from some Illness, so that is part of life.  Ensure your timetable can accommodate them. Don't get frustrated if your timetable is disrupted, rather make sure you make up for any loss of time.

9– Exercise and eat-healthy.

A healthy mind is ensured by a healthy body. Don't tax your body as it is your greatest asset.  Moderate physical activity is required to keep you functional and alert. Watch out for your food habits, don't sit for studying after a heavy meal.

10– Weekends will come to your aid.

Working individuals, irrespective of anything, look out for weekends. No doubt, this should be your greatest blessing. Utilise every minute of your time. It doesn't mean you don't rejuvenate and gear up for a long week. Just make sure you get sufficient time to relax and study.

Includes travel time, breaks or even before going to bed.For instance, you can finish your newspaper reading while travelling, particularly if your are commuting using public transport. Watch motivational videos, Ted talks or even lessons at Unacademy to keep you in the flow. Be calculative of every minute at your disposal

12– Keep your mind stable.

Make a habit of meditation, preferably in the morning. This will help with all your problems. It boosts your self confidence and increases your focus on your goals.
