Smoking often leads to a number of complications for the woman's reproductive system, especially during pregnancy. Chances of experiencing a miscarriage or an ectopic pregnancy (also called extra-uterine pregnancy, which may lead to a number of complications) also increase exponentially.

Research has shown that those who smoke on a regular basis are twice as likely to develop erectile dysfunction as compared to their non-smoking counterparts. This is because, smoking adversely affects circulation and thus blood flow to the penis is hampered as well. This may lead to weakened erections or erectile dysfunction and impotence as well, in some extreme cases.
