Arthroscopy procedure takes only an hour if done without complications. Even the patient can be discharged the same day if everything goes according to the doctor. The patients are required to rest for some time, and doctors explain to them the activities which are prohibited. The recovery period after Arthroscopy is not very long and can be recovered within a few days if proper exercises are done and medications are taken timely. In many cases, doctors recommend applying ice to the knees so that swelling and pain put into check and healing of the knees gets faster.
