In the early stages of pregnancy, the sudden rise in estrogen levels calls for a rise in thyroid hormones as well. This leads to the fluctuation of thyroid hormones. It is thus suggested to get the TSH level checked regularly for pregnant women and modify the dosage accordingly. Keep in mind that TSH will also drop and fluctuate post delivery as well.
