Allopathy and homeopathy treatments should never be mixed. Being two distinct streams of medicine, both allopathy and homeopathy follow different paths of treatment. Allopathy treats arthritis and other rheumatic pains by using Anti Rheumatic drugs known as DMARDS (Disease Modifying Anti-Rheumatic Drugs). These drugs are neither steroids nor pain killers. However, as they need 6-8 weeks to take effect, people wrongly assume them to be pain killers or steroids. Therefore, you can adopt allopathic treatment for treating arthritis; it is as effective as homeopathy.

Homeopathy believes in treating the root cause of the problem rather than its symptoms. For example, a person might be suffering from pimples, hair loss and increased weight due to digestive disorders. In such a scenario, homeopathy, instead of providing distinctive cure for the symptoms, will treat the root cause, i.e. the digestive problems the person is suffering from. This in return will heal the symptoms as well as provide the person with a proper solution for his digestive disorders.

Allopathy treatments don t have any individuality as compared to homeopathy. Here the same pill is prescribed to several people who are suffering from the same ailment. In this stream of medicine, unlike homeopathy, medical background check of the patient is often ignored. For example, if a patient is suffering from lower back pain as a symptom of an underlying condition, Allopathy would prescribe medications in order to treat the lower back pain only. However, that might not eradicate the issue as the root cause of the problem remained unattended.
