Signs of a Hormone Imbalance

Most women get acne problem during their periods, but if you constantly suffer from breakouts, then it is most likely due to hormonal imbalance. Surprisingly this is due to excessive androgen hormone within the female body. Androgen is a male hormone which is present in the female body in small amounts, but if it is present in excess, it may cause acne and other problems as well.

If you feel tired constantly or de-motivated due to physical exhaustion, it could be due to hormonal imbalance, primarily an excess of the progesterone hormone in your body. A lack of the thyroid hormone also known as hypothyroidism can also lead to constant fatigue. If you have been suffering from a similar problem for an extended period of time, it is advisable to get it checked by a doctor immediately.

The breasts are dependent and connected to various hormones within the body, especially estrogen. A reduction in the levels of estrogen within your body can cause the reduction in the thickness of breast tissues, making them soft. Reversely, an increase in the level of estrogen will make your breasts harder due to increased thickness of the tissues. This can also lead to cysts or lumps within the breast which could be a cause of concern and hence you should visit your doctor.

Women approaching or going through menopause have often displayed this symptom. It has been noticed that a change in progesterone levels may cause estrogen levels to change as well. You may suffer from periods of memory loss where it becomes very difficult to remember things. As estrogen affects the neurotransmitters within the brain, it might affect the memory centers as well and cause this problem.
