Zandu Kumaryasava Syrup

Kumariasava Syrup is a digestive aid which contains Aloe vera, ginger, pepper, pippali, clove, cinnamon, cardamom, Mesua ferrea, Plumbago zeylanica, Juniperus communis, Picrorhiza kurroa, Cyperus rotundus, Terminalia chebula, Terminalia bellirica, Emblica officinalis, Pluchea lanceolata, Cedrus deodara, Berberis aristata, Marsdenia tenacissima, Sida cordifolia, Tribulus terrestris, and Boerhavia diffusa as main active ingredients.

Role of active ingredient:
Aloe vera is used for weight loss, diabetes, hepatitis, inflammatory bowel diseases, osteoarthritis, and in stomach ulcers.
Ginger officinalis increase the motility of the gastrointestinal tract and have analgesic, sedative, antipyretic, and antibacterial properties.
Pepper longum deal with indigestion, as it cleanses the lining of the intestines, helps to improve appetite, enhances digestion, assimilation and metabolism of food.
Pippali is a stimulant and is useful in chronic dyspepsia and indigestion.
Clove has antioxidant, anti-septic, local anesthetic, anti-inflammatory, rubefacient, carminative and anti-flatulent properties.
Cinnamon can be used to help treat muscle spasms, vomiting, diarrhea, infections, the common cold, loss of appetite, and erectile dysfunction.
Cardamom has antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminative, digestive, diuretic, expectorant, stimulant, stomachic and tonic.
Mesua ferrea is used in the treatment of diseases pertaining to liver and spleen.
Plumbago zeylanica is used as a liver tonic, as it enhances the liver metabolism.
Juniper communis is used for digestion problems including upset stomach, intestinal gas, heartburn, as well as gastrointestinal (GI) infections and intestinal worms.
Picrorhiza kurroa is used for jaundice, liver infections caused by fever, allergy, and asthma.
Cyperus rotundus is useful as absorbant, digestive and carminative.
Terminalia bellirica detoxifies blood, lymph, muscles and fatty tissue of the body.
