Information about Supracal HD Tablet

Supracal HD Tablet is a combination of calcium citrate with vitamin D3 and minerals like zinc, magnesium.

Calcium is used to prevent or treat low blood calcium levels in people who do not get enough calcium from their diets. Calcium is important for growth and development of bones.

Vitamin D3 that is used in the absorption of calcium in the blood. Vitamin D3 helps in processing of essential minerals in the body like Calcium and Phosphorus. Lack of Vitamin D3 results in bone weakening, bone pain, and skin diseases.

Other minerals like zinc, magnesium, are necessary for bone mineralization and bone matrix formation
Supracal HD is a nutritional supplement which can be taken by people who have low levels of calcium in their blood.
Supracal HD Tablet is used in elderly people to keep bones healthy and strong, and is even effective in Chronic arthritis and Osteoporosis

Generally calcium supplements donor cause kidney stones. But as a diabetic your kidney function needs to be monitored ie renal function tests. Uti is common in diabetics and has nothing to do with calcium supplements. To prevent stones and uti, you need to increase your fluid intake and avoid food items which hv seeds like guavas, pomegranates,ladyfinger, brinjal.

Is it ok to take supracal tablet after expiry date? Please suggests me something for that.

It is ok as it is true the effectiveness of a drug may decrease over time, but much of the original potency still remains even a decade after the expiration date. Excluding nitroglycerin, insulin, and liquid antibiotics, most medications are as long-lasting.

Dear lybrate user. This problem is due to irritation and inadequate nutrition of the brain. So follow few basic things. 1) take solid diet two times in a day and liquid diet two times in a day. 2) drink only 100-150 ml of lukewarm water during meals . 3) don?t drink water one hour before meals and one hour after meal4) avoid oily, spicy, salty, junk, fast, fermented and stale foods. 5) avoid late night sleeping habits . 6) do anuloma viloma pranayam regularly early in the morning. A) eat 5 gm of ajwain seeds along with 5 gm of jaggery after meals. B) take 60 ml of trifala juice along with 20 ml of honey early in the morning and at night before sleep. Do all these things for 15 days. It gives you good result.

I have a prescription for pregnancy meds. My gyno have prescribed for supracal hd. Since it's costly we went for generic medicines. Named calciquick hd. Is it the same. Coz the ingredients of supracal hd says calcium, magnesium, zinc and vitamin D. But calciquick hd has only calcium and vitamin D. So, still is the same.

Hi, Basically both the medicines contain calcium and Vit D. But Supracal contains minerals like magnesium and zinc along with calcium and Vit D. If your requirement is only calcium, then the generic medicine can be taken.

There is coming an sound from bones of my arms and my neck is also paining. I think it is because of using mobile. My doctor gave me medicine called 'Supracal' but my pain did not stop. Now he is telling that it's normal.

Hi thanks for the query. Sound from the joints are normal if there is no associated pain. If the sounds are associated with pain better get evaluation for any joint diseases. If there are no evidence of inflammatory joint diseases please start on exercises for your arms and neck.
