Prelipid capsule is a recommended health supplement for maintaining healthy cholesterol levels.

Hi triglycerides level less then 300 mg/dl needs not to be treated by medicines, as for your cholestrol levels I would suggest you to start prelipid twice daily with severe life style modifiation for 3 months repeat lipids after 3 months if not improved then start statins. Lipaglyn is not required right now, eat lot of vegetables and raw fruits in your diet ,do not eat egg yolk and red meat.

I am 42 female. Deliver baby 18 months back. Due to pregnancy n feeding mom I was not talking medication for high cholesterol. Now I want to start again please suggest b4i use to take prelipid capsules but now m not getting any were I dnt want to start statin. I lost weight 22 kg with good diet still my cholesterol is high. U can do the following-- stop smoking (if you smoke). Smoking lowers your hdl, (“good”) cholesterol level. Change the way you eat. Low-fat, low-cholesterol eating benefits all your lipid levels. Lose weight if necessary. Maintain healthy lifestyle start exercising. Nuts, such as almonds, pistachios, and walnuts, contain high amounts of unsaturated fat or “good” fats, which increase high-density lipoprotein (hdl) and lower low-density lipoprotein (ldl). Also follow this 1. Don't take tea empty stomach. Eat something like a banana (if you are not diabetic) or any seasonal fruit or soaked almonds and a glass of water first thing in the morning (within 10 mins of waking up). No only biscuits or rusk will not do. 2. Don't overeat 3. Take your breakfast every day. Don't skip it. U can eat whatever your mother or grandparent eat in bfast. I mean to say whatever is your traditional food. If punjabi eat paratha, if belongs to south then take idli/ dosa etc. 4. Have light meals every 2 hours (in addition to your breakfast, lunch n dinner) e.g. Nariyal paani, chaach, a handful of dry fruits, a handful of peanuts, any fresh n seasonal fruit, a cup of curd/milk etc 5. Finish your dinner at least 2 hours before going to sleep. 6. Maintain active life style 7. Avoid fast foods, spicy n fried foods, carbonated beverages 8. Take a lot of green vegetables n fruit. 9. Drink lot of water. 10. Everyday preferably sleep on same time 11. Curd is good for u.Exercise in the form of yoga, cycling, swimming, gym, walking etc. Now about point no. You should join a gym for weight training. Do it 2-3 times a week with at least 48 hours in between 2 sessions. Other days you can do cardio exercises. For more details you can consult me.

Hi, Welcome. I have gone through report which shows that you have deranged lipid profile. Please tell me whether you have associated hypertension, diabetes or any heart disease. If yes than you will need medicine, otherwise it could be managed by dietary restrictions & exercise. Dietary restrictions include: Stop fat rich diet, Stop junk food, If fat is to be used, use olive oil. Exercise regularly for at least 30 minutes for 5 days in a week. If you want to decrease it by medication, we generally prescribe a medication Prelipid twice daily. This will reduce your cholesterol in 3 months. Thanks.

Someone in my friend circle has advised me to take Omega-3 300 mg capsules since my blood tests have indicated some high cholesterol (in the range of 250. I have checked in the market and I am getting 1000 mg capsules. Pl advise if I can take 1000 mg capsules and what should be the dosage and for how long's? shud I take them. No 250 ia not so high so that you need to take medicine do dietary restriction of fried fat do regular strenous exercise for minimum 45 minutes check fadting lipid profile after 2minths also with Tsh FBS PPBS REPORT CAP PRELIPID 90 BD IS BETTER IN YOUND DYSLIPIDEMIC PERSON.

You have not mentioned your complete lipid profile report. Please mention that. Start with 1) Diet change (consult a dietician for healthy heart diet) 2) Start exercising target should be 45 mins of brisk walking daily. 3) Quit smoking if you do. 4) reduce alcohol intake. Repeat levels after 6 weeks of precautions, if still high you may need medications.
