Yes this is very harmful because you are using the side effect of the medicine for opening the nose, this causes rhinitis medicamentosa which is no response of the medicines to nose mucosa.

Hii doctor I fell congestion in my nose. I also feel bubble or swelling in my nose most of the time it is in the right nostril but it moves to the left nostril also. The situation get worst in night when I sleep under the fan. I have to sleep straight I can't turn on one side please help me with some medicine or nasal spray I took sinarest table and otrivin oxy nasal spray but no relief. L please help me with some medication.

Exact diagnosis or disorder connected with nose like allergy, nasal defect etc must be made on consulting good ent specialist whenever available. Some tests like nasal endoscopy may be necessary. Allergic agent like dust, change of wealthe, pollution, domestic pet animals etc is to be explored. Sinerest tablet may give temporary relief. Sprays and nasal drops only temporarily. Constant use will be habit forming try breathing exercises of yoga.

Nope no major side effect though it may cause mild nasal irritation as nasal decongestant excessive sneezing or burning sensation sometimes....

And smell from the nose is a sign of nasal discharge which is infected. U need to show an ent doc. And a word of advice .do not use otrivin without prescription Otrivin is known to cause addiction and a condition called rhinitis medicamentosa.
