Firstly check the symptoms- is the body feeling warm or hot after you feel the touch , is the child not drinking your breast milk properly for today, is the child not smiling as before, and do not concentrate on the thermometer reading for now

Mouth and rectal temperature differs from Armpit and groin temperature. The range of temperature is 97 - 99 deg. Fahr. In my view you are suffering from fever.

You have no fever and there is no point in measuring temperature . Nowadays even 100 F is considered fever unless you have any other symptoms
