Mercurial sphygmomanometer was the best choice but now it has been banned because of mercury. However old ones are in use if you could get one. Manual is still better.

I have a question that when I check my fever in mercury temperature it is high but when I check in digital it is low. I check my temperature by placing thermometer in mouth. Like in mercury it come 99.8 but in digital it comes 99.4 why is there variation?

Firstly check the symptoms- is the body feeling warm or hot after you feel the touch , is the child not drinking your breast milk properly for today, is the child not smiling as before, and do not concentrate on the thermometer reading for now
