एस्कोरिल फ्लू पी सिरप (Ascoril Flu P Syrup) is a first-generation antihistamine, which is used to prevent the allergic symptoms from conditions such as urticaria and rhinitis. This drug binds to the histamine H1 receptor, which prevents the action from endogenous histamine. It selectively inhibits enzyme function in the brain which allows it to treat pain and fever. It activates certain receptors in the brain that inhibit pain signals. It also works by narrowing the swelling of blood vessels in the ear and nose, thereby providing great relief from discomfort. Lastly, it triggers the TRPM8 receptors in the skin that are cold-sensitive.
