Voluven 6Gm/0.9Gm Solution has its main use in volume therapy to improve rheology of human blood and is often administered to stabilize cardiovascular system. Rheology basically signifies the flow of blood, hence Voluven 6Gm/0.9Gm Solution helps in thickening the blood with better flow. Its production is mainly done from waxy corn starch. It is often administered through intravenous solution to prevent shock due to blood loss, trauma etc. After severe blood loss the chances of fatality in a person increases, hence it is necessary to quickly replace the blood volume in the veins so that the circulatory system keeps working. Voluven 6Gm/0.9Gm Solution is one of the most widely used substances used as plasma expander.
