About Topifort-NX Topical Solution
This medication is composed of Clotrimazole, Clobetasol and Neomycin. It is used for the treatment of fungal infections of the skin such as athlete’s foot, ringworm and jock itch. Apart from treating the infection, it also reduces the symptoms of such skin infections, such as burning, itching and cracking of the skin.
The drug works by disrupting the cell membrane formation of the fungal infection. This eventually causes the fungus to perish. The solution is safe to use for children. It works as an anti-inflammatory by inhibiting the metabolism of arachidonic acid by inhibiting phospholipase A2 thus inhibits the production of inflammatory mediators like prostaglandins and leukotrienes. The drug has both fungistatic and fungicidal actions. It binds to phospholipids in the fungal cell membrane and alters its permeability.
