I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you're facing with your health. Managing multiple chronic conditions like dysthymia, anxiety, insomnia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and overactive bladder, along with the side effects of various medications, can be extremely challenging. Here are some points to consider based on the information you've shared: medication side effects and interactions: it's clear that you've experienced a range of side effects from different medications. This is not uncommon, especially when dealing with multiple medications for complex conditions. Each person's response to medication can vary greatly. Impact on health conditions: certain medications, especially psychiatric drugs like antipsychotics, mood stabilizers, and some antidepressants, can contribute to metabolic changes. These changes can potentially lead to conditions like prediabetes and fatty liver. It's important to monitor your physical health regularly while on these medications. Consulting healthcare professionals: given the complexity of your situation and the range of medications you've tried, continued consultation with healthcare professionals is crucial. If access to a psychiatrist is limited in your area, consider telemedicine options, which can connect you with specialists remotely. Medication choices: duloxetine: often used for depression, anxiety, and certain types of pain. It can have side effects like nausea, drowsiness, and sexual dysfunction. Bupropion (bupran): an antidepressant that's sometimes preferred for its lower risk of sexual side effects and sleepiness. However, it needs to be used cautiously in individuals with a history of seizures or heavy alcohol use. Zolpidem (zolfresh): a sedative used for short-term management of insomnia. It can be effective for sleep, but it's not typically recommended for long-term use. Melatonin: a supplement used for sleep problems. Headaches can be a side effect for some people. Lifestyle modifications: in addition to medication, lifestyle changes can play a significant role in managing these conditions. Regular exercise, a healthy diet, good sleep hygiene, stress reduction techniques, and avoiding alcohol can all contribute positively to your health. Therapy and support: psychological therapies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (cbt), can be very effective for mood and anxiety disorders, and even for insomnia (cbt-i for insomnia). These therapies can be accessed in person or via online platforms. Regular monitoring and follow-up: regular follow-up with your healthcare provider is important, especially if you're considering changes to your medication regimen. This will help manage your conditions safely and monitor for any side effects or complications. Remember, it's crucial to work closely with healthcare professionals who can provide personalized advice and treatment based on your specific health needs. Don't hesitate to reach out for support or a second opinion if you feel your current treatment plan isn't working well for you.

Your feeling sleepy during day time is due to side effects of the medicine you are taking. This is habit forming and addictive with adverse side effects. You need comprehensive treatment and it takes some time. Please start taking homeopathic medicine, preliminary dose arsenicum album 200-once daily in the evening for 5 days. Hi I was diagnosed with mixed anxiety and depression at first my Dr. asked me to start with fluoxetine (20 mg) with mirtazapine (7.5 mg) but whenever I try to taper mirtazapine (7.5 mg) it gives me withdrawal symptoms like sleeplessness and restlessness then my Dr. gave me zolpidem 10 once in a night and now after 45 days my Dr. suggested me to go cold turkey with zolfresh 10 and continue with fluoxetine (40 mg) once in morning and olanzotic plus 20 mg/5 mg tablet once in night I just want to ask like if I go cold turkey with zolfresh 10 will it cause any withdrawal symptoms because after taking zolpidem I am facing episodes of depressions and anxiety.

Hi, one of my close friend's mom is suffering from auditory hallucinations for the more than a week. Most of her talks/hearings are somewhat related to past conflict. Monday they met homeopathy/ayurveda and they suggested for ayurveda tablets/syrup (saraswatharistam and manasamithira vadagam). She was taking ayurveda tablets for 2 days. Since its getting worst and her health would not allow her to wait for few more days to see the response for homeopathy/ayurveda tablets, wednesday night they met psychiatric in chennai. Doctor suggested (psychosis) for a tablet 'olimelt 5 mg' at night (8-8: 30 pm) for 20 days. If she is not getting sleep still, then they suggested to take 'zolfresh 5 mg' at around 11: 30 pm. 1st day (wed night): took olimelt 5 mg around 10 pm, slept around 1 am and woke up around 8 am. 2nd day (thurs night): thursday day time slept for 30 mins. Took olimelt around 8: 45 pm, did not get sleep till 10: 10, started blaberring/crying after that. So gave zolfresh 5 mg, then slept from 12 am-8 am. 3rd dy (friday night-yesterday): friday day time didn't sleep, took her outside. Took olimelt around 8 pm, had meditation for 45 mins, slept around 10: 15 pm. Woke up by 12 am, and blaberring for an hour. So gave zolfresh 5 mg by 1 am, then slept from 2 am till 8: 30 am. Would like to request experts opinion on the below. - can she take both psychiatric tablet and ayurveda medicines together? Would it help for faster recovery? - any other suggestion for faster recovery (like food habits, yoga, meditation, oil bath. Etc)? - in google, its mentioned that "zolfresh 5 mg" has a side effect of hallucinations. Understand this tablet is for deep sleep, but have a fear about this side effect bec. Our main problem is itself hallucinations only - we are trying our level best to divert her, but sometimes it works, most of the times don't. What to do for that - based on above day by day things, are we in a positive direction or we need to speed up the treatment by getting second opinion? How long her body/brain will take to respond for these tablets? When can we expect the slight positive change on this health issue? - there are other suggestions like consulting neurologist, siddha (parallel treatment), acupuncture. Do you recommend any of those at this point of time or wait for sometime to see the response for current medicines? - which treatment would be the best one for this kind of health issue? Any prompt response would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

My mother 48 years old had a problem of insomnia so she consulted a gynecologist who prescribed her livial 2.5 mg and lonazep 1 mg. Lonazep stopped working after 1 week so he increased the dose of lonazep to 2 mg and same thing happened. My mother had terrible mood swings, problem of acidity started and felt restless while taking livial and the sleep problem got worse. So we consulted another gynaecologist who prescribed her altonil 5 and zolfresh and premarin 0.625 mg. My mother had a hysterectomy in 2016 so livial didn't suit her. After taking altonil and zolfresh her insomnia is under control but the problem of acidity, indigestion, fatigue, depression, body temperature started increasing on taking premarin everyday. She stopped premarin for 2 days and these symptoms started fading away but when premarin is again started extreme acidity, dryness, depression, high body temperature started appearing. She is taking rabekind 20 every morning and premarin in the evening still she is having acidity and indigestion on the day she is taking premarin. She did not have any symptoms of menopause before taking livial or premarin. Her condition is getting worse on taking premarin, should she stop taking it altogether? Please help.

For sleep disorder Zolfresh may be an effective tablet. But it is only symptomatic relief and temporary in action. Many of these drugs over a time become less and less effective due to resistance and are mostly habit forming. Hence it sis better to explore other relaxing techniques and alternate healing methods with the help of Psychiatrists , Yoga and medictation experts .

I did the blood test with Lybrate. During consultation I got some good feedback from the doctor. Am diabetic but during the past year. It's been under control at 62, appearing under prediabetes. However, sometimes I feel almost sudden bad feeling which I can describe as fatigue and stress. I get restless, the heartbeat wrestles, slight headache. I keep rolling on the bed, and I struggle to get out of bed to get water. This feeling has been there for about 8 years now. Back in africa I used to rush for a glass of beer under 10 minutes I could feel better. Sometimes I used to take allot of water, this was effective at times. When I came here as a diplomat, 4 years ago, I was diagnosed with diabetic a year later. The medication worked well and I had less of that bad feeling but I could feel it sometimes. These days, the moment I feel that tense the calming effect comes from a pill of zolfresh. I feel better and I take allot of water. This made me, feel unlike taking zolfresh during bed time, according to prescription, I take it as and when I feel fatigued. Just the about 6 months ago, I almost felt like passing out at the indra ghandi airport. I took a pill of zolfresh and plenty of water and had some rest on the conveyor belt, I was just hoping it didn't soon after 15 minutes, I felt so fine. Before, I could barely walk and see things as they were. Today, the experience is still there. The blood test showed that I had less calcium so am on ccm tablets. During the past 3 months, the bad feeling almost always came after a meal. I feel better when I haven't eaten. I hope this will go due to the ccm tablets that I will be taking alongside a meal. Please advise.

I was taking antidepressants lam 0.25 and desilam for the past few months but because of the location I stopped. I have anxiety issues and depression. For the last 2 3 weeks i've been feeling a very strange feeling that is i'm not able to recall my memories. I mean I remember everything but i'm not able to feel nostalgic. I consulted my Dr. and he said that take oleanz 2.5 but I stopped after 2 dose because I was feeling extremely sleepy. But this feeling is not going away. I'm feeling that I can't recall my memories. What it was being there. I don't have any other symptoms. Just shortness of breath. Which sometimes disappear but mostly is present with me. One Dr. told me online that I should get a mri. I also feel that i'm emotionally numb now because I can't cry. I feel sad but I feel emotionally numb. And that makes me even more anxious because I think it's something serious. I spent my all day alone and have nobody to talk to. I feel hopelessness and depression. I feel helpless. Please tell me what should I do. Why am I feeling this thing with my memory. These medications will take some time, so please wait a little. You would be able to remember everything, feel everything - it's the depression & anxiety that is probably making you feel what you are feeling right now. Continue your medication, atleast for another week, and even then if you feel no improvement - consult your doctor.
