Check your blood pressure and serum bile acids. If both are ok, then keep strict watch on fetal movements and repeat usg after 1 week. U can consult me online with doctor code dcdd57 for further queries.
Im assuming you meant alt. There are 2 issues here.
A) udiliv is given for raised bile salts in blood, which causes severe itching. And is a safe drug. It will not affect only ast or alt.
B) raised alt means liver enzyme production issue. Can be due to fever, infection; pregnancy hypertension, blood and sugar issues etc. There are many reasons. My advice is, if she has no itching, and her bp is normal, and urine tests shows no protein, then repeat the tests in a week
if she is symptomatic, more tests will be needed to find out cause for raised liver enzymes and treatment of cause. Please speak to your doctor regarding the same.
Take care.
Your wife is a case of cholestasis of pregnancy that is why alp is raised so much. Weekly lft should be monitored and how is her itching. Increase the dose of udiliv to 300 mg twice a day. Stop any progesterone if she is using. Don't worry.
