I had wheezing and nasal congestion for almost two months after taking first dose of covishield in may. Consulted doctor in july and he prescribed ambroxyl tab, telekast and fluticasone nasal spray. Now also my nasal block is not completely cured and everyday I am doing salt water gargling to remove phlegm from throat. I am due for my second vaccination shot. Should I take antihistamines before taking the shot?

Don't be dependent on modern medications . Use home remedies, practice pranayam and start ayurvedic treatment to avoid further side effects and complications. Avoid cold spicy and junk food.

Sir get an ncct pns done and share the ct pictures, shall advice accordingly. Meanwhile you can employ some remedies like reducing weight, avoid smoking and other habits, take adequate hydration, reduce salt and sugar intake. If you are not diabetic hypertensive or gastric ulcer prone then take tablet methylprednisolone 8 mg twice daily for 7 days then once daily for 7 days, then stop. Saline nasal douches, put pinch of salt and pinch of baking soda in one glass of water and douche your nose with it. Continue fluticasone furoate nasal spray and tab telekast f.

Hi Lybrate user. Your father is 75 year old and also a heart disease, so high risk for covid19. So this is one possibility. Go for covid19 test. For how long he has fever? Chills rigor? Burning micturition/ increased frequency? His mental condition is not sound so one possibility is hyponatremia. If you are able to go for investigation then do these tests- cbc, rbs, s. Creatinine, sgpt, bilirubin, s.electrolytes, mp test, elisa typhidot igm, chest xray pa view, c/s urine. #follow these- hold ramihart as his blood pressure getting low. If still bp is low hod metoprolol 50. Monitor temperature 4 hourly. Paracetamol/crocin 650 mg 8 hourly if temperature >100f. Ors powder dissolved in 1 litre. Monitor urine output in 24 hour. Give fluid and ors powder according to urine output. Add 500 ml to urine output and give this total amount of fluid in 24 hour. Thank you. Wish you speedy recovery.

Hello lybrate-user. Hope you are safe and well. It is good to know the measures you have taken until now to control your sinus symptoms. I would suggest you to find out if your sinuses are harboring any nidus of fungal or bacterial infection. We would get a better idea by having a look at your ct scan pns. Just remember that chronic sinusitis is an antigen meditated pathology and needs evidence based management for long term relief.

You are suffering from allergic rhinitis. Its a common problem now a days. 1. Do saline gargles daily. 2. Whenever possible do steam inhalation also. 3. Cover your nose and mouth with hanky for at least 30 sec when you go in dusty areas also when you go in and out of AC. As our nose is the most sensitive part of our body, When there is temperature difference between two rooms or inside n outside, then if we not protect our nose, it gets affected. 4. Drink Hot Liquids --Hot liquids relieve nasal congestion, prevent dehydration, and soothe the uncomfortably inflamed membranes that line your nose and throat. 5. Sleep With an Extra Pillow Under Your Head-- Elevating your head will help relieve congested nasal passages. If the angle is too awkward, try placing the pillows between the mattress and the box springs to create a more gradual slope. 6. Treat That Stuffy Nose With Warm Salt Water-- Salt-water rinsing helps break nasal congestion, while also removing virus particles and bacteria from your nose. 7. Blow Your Nose Often (and the Right Way)-- It's important to blow your nose regularly when you have a cold rather than sniffling mucus back into your head. But when you blow hard, pressure can carry germ-carrying phlegm back into your ear passages, causing earache. The best way to blow your nose: Press a finger over one nostril while you blow gently to clear the other. Homeopathic treatment has very encouraging results and gives relief in long term please ask for consultation with detailed information so that I can help you better. Regarding telekast L you need to ask your attending gynecologist.
