Pacitane 2 MG Tablet used for

My mother is 62 years old & she is having schizophrenia from last 20 years & was under medication having normal life. But suddenly 2 months back she stopped taking medication & resisted it so we asked doctor to shift to injection instead of pills. Doc started giving tolaz la 210 injection along with haiocest, pacitane, ativan pills. Can you please suggest by when she can go with only injection without any pills because she still resists for pills & her doc is saying it may take minimum 3 months. Due to lack of knowledge we are getting anxious because earlier she was taking 1 pill & now 3 pills with injection. Did we make fool decision by shifting? Please enlighten on this. Thank you.

Schizophrenia the love and support of family and friends plays an important role in schizophrenia treatment and recovery. If you have a loved one with schizophrenia, you may be struggling with any number of difficult emotions, including fear, guilt, anger, and frustration. You may feel helpless in the face of your loved one’s symptoms, worried about the stigma of schizophrenia, or confused and embarrassed by their strange behaviors. You may even be tempted to hide your loved one’s illness from others. But it’s important to remember that a diagnosis of schizophrenia is not a life-sentence. Recovery is possible, especially with your love and support. To help someone with schizophrenia, it’s crucial you: •accept the illness and its difficulties. •not buy into the myth that someone with schizophrenia can’t get better or live a full and meaningful life. •do your best to help your loved one feel better and enjoy life. •pay attention to your own needs. •maintain your sense of humor and remain hopeful. While dealing with a loved one’s schizophrenia can be challenging, the following strategies can help you guide your loved one on the road to recovery without losing sight of your own hopes and dreams. Tips for helping a loved one with schizophrenia •educate yourself. Learning about schizophrenia and its treatment will allow you to make informed decisions about how best to cope with symptoms, encourage your loved one to pursue self-help strategies, handle setbacks, and work towards recovery. •reduce stress. Stress can cause schizophrenia symptoms to flare up, so it’s important to create a structured and supportive environment for your loved one. •set realistic expectations. It’s important to be realistic about the challenges of schizophrenia. Help your loved one set and achieve manageable goals, and be patient with the pace of recovery. •empower your loved one. Be careful that you’re not taking over and doing things for your loved one that they are capable of doing. Support your loved one while still encouraging as much independence and self-help as possible. Adv clozapine 25 mg 1/2 or 1 at night one month and report after.

Better to consult her treating psychiatrist. If its too troubling and you are not able to access a psychiatrist, reduce dose to 25 mg daily for a week or two, then increase to 50.

How to Stop Overthinking? Bring yourself to the present moment: In other words, each time we are overthinking we cannot be in the present moment. The reality, however, is that the present moment is usually far better than the past or future we are overthinking about. Replace Your thoughts: Yep, you can’t control the thoughts that pass through your mind but you can replace those negative thinking with positive ones. Make a small shift in focus: How many times have you stopped working on a problem and taken a break? Then the solution pops into your head half an hour later? Simply getting up off your chair and going into a different room can help. If possible, go outside. In particular, try to take a brief walk amongst trees. Be a Doer, not over-thinker: Identify one small thing that you can do right now and then do it! This can help you feel more in control of the situation. Distract Yourself: Focus on the room you are in. Name one thing that you can see, one that you can hear, one that you feel, and so on through the five senses Keep an object with you. Immerse yourself in a hobby. For example, painting, reading, knitting, crafting – whatever takes your fancy Give Yourself a deadline: A good decision can often be made very quickly. Avoid taking longer than you need to make a choice. A deadline can be an effective way of making a decision quickly. Give yourself a few minutes to a few days, to make up your mind. Pull the trigger and move on. Meditate to stop overthinking: Focus your attention on what you can hear, Try not to name the sounds If your mind wanders, bring your attention back to focusing on sounds. Don’t worry or judge yourself if your mind does name the sounds, this is just your thoughts trying to stay active. An over-thinker’s brain constantly keeps seeking answers. We are usually worrying about something that might happen; or we are anticipating a potential outcome, or we are expecting a certain outcome and/or certain behavior. However, with enough practice, you can successfully start to overthink less and less, which will eventually help you to stop overthinking altogether.

Hello mohit, 1. You have mentioned that you have Essential tremors, the basis of diagnosis is not clear. But let us presume you do have it. 2. firstly it cannot be cured and will not diappear, but it can be effectively controlled. 3. There is nothing to be embarassed because of the tremors. The best thing is to tell the people around you that you have "tremor problem " and there is no need for the people around you to be worried. The people do understand and are supportive. 4. You can stop Pacitane. The first thing to do is take Tab Proprai nolol 40 mg SOS, that is to say that when you are meeting people or situations where the tremors increase you can take this medicine 1/2 an hour before. You can take upto 2-3 tab /day. But there is no point in taking it continuously and you should stick to SOS need. 5. But all this swhile i am presuming you have Essential tremors. You have not mentioned any features of your tremors etc. I hope some qualified doctor has diagnosed this , else we may miss out some other disease

Lybrate user, it's not a good practice to stop the medications abruptly, without your psychiatrist's advice. Your symptoms may be reappearing in a few weeks. The medicines you are on are supposed to be taken for a long time and if your doctor thinks to stop them, the dosages will be tapered systematically. Better consult your psychiatrist.
