Meprate 10mg Tablet While Breastfeeding - 46 Questions Answered

My last mp was on sept 4.had int on oct 8, protected and no fail. Missed period the following month becoz I was taking sevista 30 for breast fibroadenoma and the tablet delays period as suggested by my gyenic. I got cramps after stopping the medication but no period so prescribed meprate and got period after 8 days of stopping meprate i.e. On 8th of nov. I did transabdominal ultrasound as per my doc's advice on 21st nov (6 weeks after int, technically if preg it would be 8 weeks) and everything was normal, uterus size was normal but got multiple follicles on both ovaries. Again this month I got cramps for almost 10 days and got my period on 19th dec and my due date was 8th dec. This time I had very heavy flow with heavy clots for almost 2 days and 3rd day was normal flow and spotting on 4th, 6th day. I usually get period 8-10 days later on my regular cycle days and this period was much similar to my previous cycles. On 19th I again did ultrasound transabdominal since I was not getting my period till then, I had normal uterus, size-7.1×3.6×4.2 and endoecho-10.8 mm. Basically this is 10 weeks after sex and almost if considered 12 weeks if i'm pregnant. Is it possible to be pregnant in my case and is it possible that transabdominal ultrasound not able to detect pregnancy even after 10 weeks of having sex or at 12 weeks of pregnancy or is it confirmed that i'm not pregnant? Please suggest. Should I conduct some other tests where I could be 100% confirmed that pregnancy is not there. No sexual contact post 8th oct. I am in a very bad mental condition these days for this scare, please help.

Ultrasound abdomen can miss pregnancy but not if done repeatedly. Since so many tests have shown no pregnancy, you are not pregnant. I suggest you use protection next time to prevent all this mental stress.

First test to be done is urine pregnancy test. If it is negative then tab meprate can be taken 10 mg bd for 5 days for withdrawal bleeding. Get your investigation done because pcos can lead to infertility so kindly get workup done.

Go for a Mamogram Bilateral and get confirmation that its not a cancer. If birads score is 3 or 4 then can confirm by Biopsy. If birads score is low no need to be worried about cancer

Hi i'm completed 2 and half month of c section and tubectomy and i'm breast feeding mother and i'm bleeding. My doctor suggested me to take a depot provera injection for one time to stop bleeding. After using this injection my bleeding stop but from last 20 days onwards i'm spotting. My doctor suggested me to take meprate tablet but no use again she suggested me to take pause mf but no use again she suggested me to take tranexa tablets but no use still i'm spotting. My doctor suggested me to take a scan in that my endometrial wall is 4 mm and scan report impression is good. Finally my doctor suggested me to take k stat 500 tablet for 10 days daily one time to stop spotting. From last five days onwards i'm taking this tablet but no improvement still i'm spotting. I already consult my gynaecologist. Why i'm spotting why tablets not working. Im getting tired pls tell how to stop spotting immediately.

I will not advise any lactating woman to take inj. Proluton depot for control of bleeding. Proper breast feeding will help involution of uterus and control of bleeding. Now you are the tenth person asking me for bleeding control after taking inj. Proluton depot. Better ask that doctor who prescribed you this.

Your periods may not come for 2-3 months since you are breastfeeding and injection also delays period. Can not tell for sure wen exactly periods will come.

You have to take meprate for atleast 3 weeks. Please take a personalised consultation before taking as these are hormonal pills. Wrong usage can be more harmful.

Bleeding after c section may continue for 2 months. In my view you can wait for a week and see if your symptoms improve. If there is no fever or malaise, no problem in nursing then be patient. Wait for a week before taking any action.
