Please stop using mela lite cream as it contains strong steroids which will cause serious side effects. Steroid induced pimples, photosensitivity that is sun sensitivity, rosacea that is red face, atrophy that is skin thinning, stretch marks, pigmentation, dryness, severe itching and hair growth on the face etc to name a few side effects. Reports of skin cancer are also there. Please don't use any such steroid containing fairness creams. You will require treatment to slowly put you off this cream by using some substitute as the skin becomes addicted to the steroid. Hence you are facing such a problem. You have damaged your skin by using elocon which should not be used for pigmentation. The treatment suggested by dermatologist is right but it will take long time 3-4 months to see results. Continue using it.
Climate is a very potent steroidal cream. We dermatologist generally dont recommend it on the skin. It would give you side effects like thinning of skin, unwanted hair, pimples or even blotchy Pigmetation on face. Stop usage of such cream. Long term side effects are irreversible. Generally spf 30 sunscreen would be good for preventing sun tanning.
