1. Do saline gargles daily. 2. Whenever possible do steam inhalation also. 3. Cover your nose and mouth with hanky for at least 30 sec when you go in dusty areas also when you go in and out of AC. As our nose is the most sensitive part of our body, When there is temperature difference between two rooms or inside n outside, then if we not protect our nose, it gets affected. 4. Drink Hot Liquids --Hot liquids relieve nasal congestion, prevent dehydration, and soothe the uncomfortably inflamed membranes that line your nose and throat. 5. Sleep With an Extra Pillow Under Your Head-- Elevating your head will help relieve congested nasal passages. If the angle is too awkward, try placing the pillows between the mattress and the box springs to create a more gradual slope. 6. Treat That Stuffy Nose With Warm Salt Water-- Salt-water rinsing helps break nasal congestion, while also removing virus particles and bacteria from your nose. 7. Blow Your Nose Often (and the Right Way)-- It's important to blow your nose regularly when you have a cold rather than sniffling mucus back into your head. But when you blow hard, pressure can carry germ-carrying phlegm back into your ear passages, causing earache. The best way to blow your nose: Press a finger over one nostril while you blow gently to clear the other. Homeopathic treatment has very encouraging results. Consult online for details

Deriphyllin is not recommended for asthma and allergy. Treatment for asthma and allergy are inhalers, anti-allergy tablets. You will need a lung function test, chest xray, ige and cbc level following which your inhaler dose and tablets can be decided.

Hello lybrate-user, no as with any medication it is not safe. I suggest you to only use it when you have acute exacerbations of the allergic rhinitis. Hope it helped.

I have been facing a breathing problem for 4-5 days I feel that I am unable to take a complete breath and therefore feel the urge to suck in air forcefully. Moreover, I am consciously trying to yawn to get more air. Because of this, I am unable to sleep. I have done a blood test that shows my eosinophil as 08 and ige as 868.6. Following this, I met a doctor and he prescribed me predmet 16, deriphyllin retard, solopose, mondeslor, and budamate. I have been taking since past two days but it's not giving me any relief. My pft test has been normal. In the past, I had ulcers but not sure if that could cause breathing issues. I am in agony because of abnormal breathing I am having no fever and cold.

We don't use deriphyllin too often due to adverse effects and few recommendations for use in patients.

You can use deriphyllin retard. More specific treatment is ics+ laba (foracort or budamate) inhalation over 12 weeks. Azithromycin 500 mg od for 5 days. Prior to use of foracort spirometry should be done, and if the results shows reversibility, you should proceed with ics+laba inhalation.

Unicontin-e 400 tablet cr and deriphyllin retard 150 may be unsafe to use during pregnancy. Although there are limited studies in humans, animal studies have shown harmful effects on the developing baby.
