Migraine usually occurs due to some stress factors. These factors may include:
- fasting / staying hungry for long periods / irregular eating schedule
- prolonged exposure to hot climate/sunlight
- Exposure to loud noise
- emotional outbursts
- acidity/gas in few people
Identity your stressor and avoid it. This in itself will lead to decrease in frequency of migraine episodes.
Treatment for migraine episodes:- Tab. Crocin Pain Relief 1 tab when there is pain
- Tab. Brufen 1 tab if headache severe & not controlled with crocin
- If you have more than 5 episodes of migraine per month, then preventive treatment is required: Tab. Tryptomer 10 mg at daily bed time
- Also, before starting any treatment, make sure it is migraine only and nothing else. Other causes of headache should be ruled out like, High BP, Decreased Eyesight etc.

Hi lybrate-user,
Well your symptoms are not pointing towards one particular diagnosis. Having said that you should get evaluated by a physician or a GP first and after a clinical examination if need be to meet a Neurologist. It's nothing major to worry about as it could as non alarming as a Migraine headache which is common in your age group. So you can try OTC medicines like paracetamol (Crocin) to start with for your headaches but I would urge you to meet a doctor for clinical evaluation. Take care.
Migrane is characterised by one sided headache which is pulsatile in nature and with a throbbing pain usually with an aura and crocin can be taken as and when required
Try relaxation techniques and identify and avoid stress and other triggers for your headache. You can take crocin as soon as headache sets in but if pain remains for most of the days and you have to take medicine daily it would be better to not do so. And consult a pain physician in your vicinity.
