Hi, good to know that she has improved. Would recommend to consult a doctor before deciding to stop taking the medicine. There is a chance he is feeling good because of the medication too. Ensure that he has developed the necessary skills to deal with anxiety and sleep disorder. So that he is in a position to deal with it in future too.

Dear lybrate-user, did you have dry mouth, headache, racing thoughts, jittery and agitation before taking desvenlafaxine or sertraline? Yes, you did have - they are all anxiety symptoms. Instead of googling side effects of the tablets, please google mixed anxiety depressive disorder, adrenaline reaction, stress management, recurrent major depressive disorder, etc. Please consult your doctor so that sertraline dose can be increased to an effective dose.

Dear sir there is one condition called treatment resistance ocd. I am not sure whether you have it. Usually ocd is very long lasting like bp and diabetes. Discontinuation of medication means returns of sever symptoms. What you can do is consult a qualified trained clinical psychologist who will tell certain technique to control your symptoms. At this time your symptoms are not under control and is very frustrating. As such for many people medication doesn't work up the mark. Please also request your doctor for any change of medication if not done earlier.

Dear lybrate-user, before you decide to leave medication it's important for you to meet your psychiatrist and get a feedback on the progress that you have made. It is also important to know if you've made necessary lifestyle changes which will serve as a support once you decide to give up medications.

Doctor can I take clonotril 0.25 mg in day time and depran10 at the night time. For anxiety.
Some anxiety is a normal part of life. It’s a byproduct of living in an often-chaotic world. Anxiety isn’t all bad, though. It makes you aware of danger, motivates you to stay organized and prepared, and helps you calculate risks. Still, when anxiety becomes a daily struggle, it’s time to act before it snowballs. Unchecked anxiety may greatly impact your quality of life. Take control by trying out the ideas below. 1. Stay active regular exercise is good for your physical and emotional health. Regular exercise works as well as medication to ease anxiety for some people. And it’s not just a short-term fix; you may experience anxiety relief for hours after working out. 2. Don’t drink alcohol alcohol is a natural sedative. Drinking a glass of wine or a finger of whiskey when your nerves are shot may calm you at first. Once the buzz is over, however, anxiety may return with a vengeance. If you rely on alcohol to relieve anxiety instead of treating the root of the problem, you may develop alcohol dependence. 3. Stop smoking smokers often reach for a cigarette during stressful times. Yet, like drinking alcohol, taking a drag on a cigarette when you’re stressed is a quick fix that may worsen anxiety over time. Researchtrusted source has shown that the earlier you start smoking in life, the higher your risk of developing an anxiety disorder later. Research also suggests nicotine and other chemicals in cigarette smoke alter pathways in the brain linked to anxiety. 4. Ditch caffeine if you have chronic anxiety, caffeine is not your friend. Caffeine may cause nervousness and jitters, neither of which is good if you’re anxious. Research has shown caffeine may cause or worsen anxiety disorders. It may also cause panic attacks in people with panic disorder. In some people, eliminating caffeine may significantly improve anxiety symptoms. 5. Get some sleep insomnia is a common symptom of anxiety. Make sleep a priority by: •only sleeping at night when you’re tired •not reading or watching television in bed •not using your phone, tablet, or computer in bed •not tossing and turning in your bed if you can’t sleep; get up and go to another room until you feel sleepy •avoiding caffeine, large meals, and nicotine before bedtime •keeping your room dark and cool •writing down your worries before going to bed •going to sleep at the same time each night 6. Meditate a main goal of meditation is to remove chaotic thoughts from your mind and replace them with a sense of calm and mindfulness of the present moment. Meditation is known for relieving stress and anxiety. Research from john hopkins suggests 30 minutes of daily meditation may alleviate some anxiety symptoms and act as an antidepressant. 7. Eat a healthy diet low blood sugar levels, dehydration, or chemicals in processed foods such as artificial flavorings, artificial colorings, and preservatives may cause mood changes in some people. A high-sugar diet may also impact temperament. If your anxiety worsens after eating, check your eating habits. Stay hydrated, eliminate processed foods, and eat a healthy diet rich in complex carbohydrates, fruits and vegetables, and lean proteins. 8. Practice deep breathing shallow, fast breathing is common with anxiety. It may lead to a fast heart rate, dizziness or lightheadedness, or even a panic attack. Deep breathing exercises — the deliberate process of taking slow, even, deep breaths — can help restore normal breathing patterns and reduce anxiety. 9. Try aromatherapy share on pinterest aromatherapy uses fragrant essential oils to promote health and well-being. The oils may be inhaled directly or added to a warm bath or diffuser. Studies have shown that aromatherapy:

Dear lybrate-user ji, sleeplessness or insomnia is a sleep disorder that disturbs not only a person’s ability to sleep at night, but also a person’s ability to function during the day. It may be due to various causes: like, -depression: -anxiety: -lifestyle: working late into the night, taking long naps in the afternoon, or working shift hours can all make it harder to establish solid sleep routines. -food and drink: certain substances like alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, and heavy meals near bedtime can all contribute to insomnia. -in some medical conditions like hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism etc. Usually in conventional method of treatment, prescribe anti-depressants, anti-anxiety or sleeping pills, which doesn’t helps to cure such conditions. These drugs make person drowsy by lowering the activity of brain. Homeopathy has got complete cure for these kinds of complaints by constitutional treatment and holistic approach. Which helps in getting sleep and feels fresh all the day without any side effects. I suggest you to take an appointment for consultation so that detail case can be discussed and rule out the cause and proceed further for treatment. You consult me online. Thank you.

Your psychiatrist is doing a very good job, in getting you away from alprazolam to something milder and then to something non-harmful. Kindly follow his/her advise. For your rheumatoid arthritis follow as per your rheumatologist advise. You can taper and stop clonotril, no issues. Ask your psychiatrist.

Hi, first of all, going by the medicines that you are currently on, I apprehend that the diagnosis may not be "anxiety disorder" any general opinion based on false premise can be detrimental to the health and I would restrain myself from answering your query. You are advised to consult your treating psychiatrist for best opinion. Best wishes.

Thanks for writing your concern, seems like many things going with you, I try to clarify all one by one - 1.Blood sugar doesn't decrease with these medications 2.Weight may increase with Valprol CR 3. Heart rate may vary with such treatment but usually it decreases with anti anxiety medication, increasing in heart rate may be because of uncontrollable anxiety or BP problem. I would suggest you to discuss all your concerns with your treating psychiatrist or take second opinion from another psychiatrist nearby or online so that thorough evaluation is done and accordingly treatment can be modified. All the best.
