A superpotent topical steroid like clobetasol propionate which is a content of clobate gm will lead to permanent damage of your face. Side effects like skin thinning, hair growth, redness, acne like lesions, infection etc to name a few. Stopping it is tricky as we need to taper and stop at the same time taking care of the side effects that it has caused and the withdrawal symptoms. Please consult a dermatologist for proper approach in your case.

You may be suffering from tinea cruris which is fungal infection of the inner thighs, groin and buttocks area. It is also called jock itch. It can be treated by taking four to six weeks of anti fungal treatment which includes tablets along with creams. Do not use soap over that area. Mistreatment with over the counter steroid containing creams like fourderm, panderm, quadriderm, dermi5, cloben g betnovate, dermikem oc, candid b etc lead to repeated case of recurrence and also side effects due to application. Do not use steroid containing combination creams. Please contact me using online consult option with photos for detailed prescription. Do not delay treatment as it may spread further on your body and also to other people living in the household.

Dear lybrate-user. Do not apply clobeta gm. Have this rash checked out by a qualified dermatologist at the earliest (either in person or via online consultation) so it can be examined and a proper diagnosis formulated. Treatment depends on the cause. Unfortunately, there is no one cream or tab that can cure all causes of itching, so I urge you to consult a dermatologist at the earliest.
Stop clobeta gm cream at the earliest. It wil worsen the condition .for ringworm infection you can start oral antifungal like itraconazole capsule and cream like luliconazole/ sertaconazole for minimum 4 wks (only after diagnosis by a dermatolgist. Kepp the area clean and dry. Thanks.

Good afternoon. If you have have 'jock itch' you have made it much worse by self medicating with clobeta and betamethasone creams. Oral medication is most likely necessary. Consult a qualified dermatologist to ensure proper examination and treatment. Unfortunately, if it is extensive jock itch, no home remedies will work.
